This will always be my favorite place! I get so excited when it's time for them to open. The ice cream is so good and love the little eyes they will put on my ice cream ?

Bring cash! We are always so excited when the Dairy Whip opens (March-September usually). There is a walk-up window and a drive through. There is plenty of parking and lots of picnic tables to enjoy your treat at. It’s out of the way from the busiest part of Loveland, but walkable to downtown and Nisbet Park (0.6 mi)

I was very excited to try this place but me and my fiancé drove there waited in the drive through line for a couple minutes just to find out it’s cash only. There’s nothing on the website about that so just a heads up for anyone that doesn’t know!

some of the best ice cream because everyone loves ice cream and ice cream is good and everyone loves ice cream and it's good

While we love the location and ice cream at the Dairy Whip, the yellow jackets are completely out of control right now. We sat down and multiple yellow jackets landed on my kids within seconds. We shifted to a table across the lot, but it was no help, my youngest threw her sundae out barely eaten because she was scared she would be stung. The rest of us ended up eating our ice cream in the car. Like I said, love this place, but something needs to be done about this problem it turned our happy outing into my kids begging to never come back.

I absolutely love this place. I'm now 57 years old and I still get just as excited each year when they open as I did when I was a kid. My favorite is the peanut butter krusher only I get mine with no hot fudge extra peanut butter sauce and they make it gladly every time for me, btw I've been ordering that same thing since the 80's lol. Only back they used to have BBQ sandwiches so I would get one of those with it. However, I do wish they accepted cards, but with the fees that the processing companies charge, I certainly understand the cash only policy. It is fun for me to take my grand babies for ice cream at the same place I got ice cream when I was their age.

I had to take my son there with his football team (not my choice) and witnessed the employees forcing a small child (5 or 6) to pay for a little cup of water. Poor kid. A kind 12 or 13 year old paid $.25 so this little kid can have water.Avoid this place at all costs. They don't take credit cards and the portions are tiny. I can't understand why this place is the only place I have found in the last 5 years that doesn't take credit. Even the Hawaiin Ice place takes credit cards for a $2 snow cone! It seems scandalous to me! Are they dodging taxes with all cash? That's the only answer I have. It's not folksy or quaint to just take cash.

I'm not a big ice cream fan, but dairy whip knows where it's at! Their birthday cake ice cream dipped in chocolate is fantastic!

Very busy at the drive through and walk up window but worth the way. They have a very good selection and from what I saw/ tried everything looked great. Really good prices compared to other ice cream shops in the area.
