I normally don’t leave reviews but I am disgusted at what my experience was today. My husband says he used to come here all the time so we decided to go ahead and give it a try. Service was great but the food was so disgusting. As we were waiting for our food- we discovered a lady came up from the basement with a large storage container full of very brown water and few potatoes while walking to the kitchen. We discovered this was the “truffle fries” they were serving us and I almost got up and left right there. My salad was served with my Romain lettuce not even cut. It was just a head of lettuce which took 10 minutes to prep by myself before eating. The server was very nice but the food was absolutely disgusting. I don’t think we will be going again.

I went here for my birthday with my friends and Lexi was so friendly and helpful! we had an amazing time and some amazing food and the monthly drink specials are to die for!!

Beautiful place, good food, and alright drinks. The thing is, they giving you 3 pre calculated tip options with the lowest being 20%. Thats silly but to make it insulting, they calculate that 20% after tax so its actually 21.4% I will likely be back, but will write in a tip that makes sense.

Stopped for dinner this evening. We're told the burgers were thick. They were not( maybe 1/4 inch.At least mine was cooked med rare. His was also med rare even though he asked for medium. Service was slow, even though there was only one other table ordering. Chips are not great, nor was the dip that came with them. My ice tea was more like water. She did exchange it for raspberry tea , again not real great but not like water. I hate leaving bad reviews but we definitely won't be going back. When it was Cornerstone, the food was excellent! Had mot realized it changed owners

We were greeted with smiles as we walked in on a Sunday evening, and that was great! We found it a little strange that we were the only people there at dinnertime, with the exception of two others. The server was prompt and friendly. The high points: Smashburgers were great but fish fry was just okay. Side of asparagus good and so was the salad, although I didn't care for the dressing being served in a carryout container with lid on the side of the plate. The low points: the grilled chicken on the salad was overcooked and tough to chew. The side of Brussels sprouts were greasy and tasted old, as in they should have been thrown out. I was excited to try the cheese curds, but really disappointed when they came to the table. They did not even look appetizing. Super greasy and flavorless, with a dipping sauce that didn't help much. Our server didn't really check on us mid-meal to see if all was okay, or I would have mentioned at least the curds. The only question we were asked was if we wanted boxes (which we did not). We felt this was a better restaurant when it was the old Cornerstone, sad to say.

We loved all the food we ordered! As a vegetarian I loved that you can get fried brussels sprouts with any of the wing sauce on them. I also like that they offer 4 oz or half pint sizes of their beers so you can try different things. We will defintely come back next time we are in Madison!
Last night I stopped in for an amazing double smash burger and some chicken wings. I also happened to catch an amazing set by Sully Solo Music. Turned out to be a great night thanks to Madison Brewing Company!

Grindstone gold was totally flat asked if they dumped the keg waitress just smiled and asked if we wanted something else had a bottled beer my pizza was good my wife's tacos not so good not the same as it used to be

Carol is very sweet and has an amazing energy. Perfect for a bartender. Kayte is a great server and is knowledgeable about the food. I love how the place is decorated and is kept well maintained. The food is amazing and I love the buffalo chicken dip, it’s a must. 101/101 would recommend!!!
