I was very excited to try this sushi place but the customer service I received when ordering doordash, I will NEVER eat here. The guy called back like “what do you want, I don’t get your order”. I explained I wanted 2 shrimp tempura rolls.. he says I’ll have to cancel my order and reorder it because it was wrong. I was not going to cancel and be penalized and still have to pay for the order, the same thing I told him. His response was “well I guess we’ll just make you one shrimp roll because that’s all you paid for, I don’t understand why you didn’t pick two”. I explained to him ok that’s fine for one roll and that their doordash site needs to updated so other people won’t have a problem. The guy continued to go back & forth with me as if it was my fault on how I placed my order… it seemed to be an inconvenience for them to make one roll..which I get but again it’s not my fault. Nor should I be penalized and have to pay doordash fees by canceling my order. Ultimately my order was cancelled by them. I’m just disappointed in the service and was super excited to try this place.

Overall great experience. The Kani salad was absolutely amazing, it was shredded crab legs, avocado and seaweed salad all mixed into one and was only $8. Well worth the money and the staff was patient and willing to deal with the fact that we kept having friends of ours coming in late. I will definitely be coming back!

For it being in Madison it was better than I was expecting. Nothing special, but nothing wrong. Wouldn’t go out of my way to go back but was happy to have found it.
Extensive menu with a large selection of specialty rolls. Appreciated that they were generous with the fish, which tasted fresh and high quality overall. And cute, eccentric interior decor!

There is literally nothing bad I can say about this place. The entire restaurant is cool, from the moment you walk in thru their cool old doors. The food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. I honestly wish I could afford to eat here every single day 🤷🤣❤️ Oh yeah, and the dragon egg is to die for by the way. I can't remember the name of our server right now, but he was awesome. We've actually had him every single time we've gone. He was really funny, the service was great, and I thoroughly enjoy going here every single time. I always pitch sushi when we try to figure out date night, except I date someone who isn't as crazy about it as I am. 🙄 Trust me, I'm trying to adjust 🤣 lol all jokes aside, if you like sushi, this is the place to go to. Not Erie, not Mentor, not Cleveland. Osaka in Madison is where it's at 💅

A must try! Coming from a big city with a plethora of sushi spots - Osaka definitely surpassed our expectations! The fish and sushi were exceptionally fresh - 5 stars so delicious will def be back!!
