Crappy quality food and poor portion sizes.

I left hungry because they didn’t serve enough food with my portion.

I ordered the Spanish shrimp as my entree and the fried rice as my side. Quality was “okay” at best. However I have to make this place very low score because of the tiny portion of shrimp they gave.

They gave me 6 pieces of shrimp. This was equated to 1/3 the portion size of other entrees. When I asked them if they could give me more they told me “this is the portion size”.

It is an absolute joke that this restaurant would list 6 pieces of shrimp as an entree when it is significantly less quantity than the listed side. That is pathetic and I will never eat at this place again when I return to kings island.

Other members of my party purchased other items and had a more acceptable quantity. However they hardly finished the food as their entrees were dry and overcooked.

I would never recommend this restaurant as the policy does NOT have the customers best interests.

Had they at least given 10 pieces of shrimp I would have felt a little bit better. Had they even given me 1 piece more when I requested I would have felt better.

Oh, how I wanted this to be good. Sadly it's not. On a busy evening, they had trouble stocking Mac and cheese, so the line was backing up. When we finally got to sit and eat... well, I would not repeat my meal there. It's not a regular menu item (chicken paprikash on a potato pancake), which is fortunate. The potato pancake was mushy, not cooked consistently, and hiding; the chicken was there; and the sauce was not what I expected - I love international cuisine but this was a big strikeout. My kiddo got the soy beef, which was partially overcooked and chewy, partially cold, and wholly unsatisfying. Some of the options looked good but I can't vouch for the quality of the other items. I just know that like most theme park food (and 100% of what I have eaten at King's Island), if you have food standards, either set them aside or expect just to get sustenance and nothing more. Stick to the ice cream (5 stars for Graeter's) and the chain restaurants (at least 3 stars)...
Terrible value of course.

I appreciated having slightly healthier options at the park, thanks to this restaurant. Furthermore, the climate-controlled dining area was comfortable. It’s a bit noisy, but not the sensory overload that is Festhaus. The taste and preparation was about what I expected at a seasonal park. The employees serving were a bit robotic—without emotion.

Allergy menu is outdated and caused my friend to go home after accidentally eating “vegan” food. She is allergic to dairy and it put her out.

Vegetarian options: Don’t trust the allergy menu

Dietary restrictions: Terribly out of date

Rating it 4 stars because the food was surprisingly good for an amusement park. Wayyyy overpriced for what you get though. I had a free meal credit and wouldn’t have eaten here had I not. I think the price for my meal would’ve been $18.

Vegetarian options: I would recommend this to vegetarians because you can substitute a meat option in your meal and get 3 sides. The sides are all vegetarian.

Kid-friendliness: Serves chicken tenders

When I go to get food at an amusement park I don't usually expect much out of it so I was quite surprised to find that this was actually really good. Some solidly seasonee chicken and some garlic potatoes were more than enjoyable and Id be glad to go back.

Shout out to Rhiana for having the patience of a saint when a rude woman decided to lash out at her over fried rice. She didn’t deserve that disrespect but handled it better than I would have. Good on her.
Food was good too. Got the side plate.

Grain and Grill is a terrific option for somewhere to eat while you’re at Kings Island.
They have some of the best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever eaten, and I love them, but these are charred just perfect bringing out their natural sweetness. I like to pair mine with the glazed pork, and it is also very tasty.
You can either dine in, and it is air conditioned, in this heat it is important to try to stay hydrated and cool as often as possible.

With season dinner plans this is Our favorite place for dinner . They also cycle out menu items month to month . For one time customers it might not have enough calories for the amount of money.

I am extremely disappointed with the portion sizes. For the price, I expected more generous serving.

Food is actually pretty good. This is one of the slowest places in KI though. This place could definitely be better if it was run more efficiently.
