I sent my Grandaughter to pick up a cake I ordered on October 3rd. Pick up was set for 11/27@6:30pm. They were adamant about picking it up at the time THEY SET for my Grandaughter to pick it up. She waited 2 hours and after all that the cake was dry.

I visited the red velvet on Libby rd. I was extremely extremely disgusted and disappointed. The older black woman was not interested in giving good customer service AT ALL. I wish I could rate 0 stars. She deserves -0. I showed her my receipt and still wouldn’t give me my cake. I had to show her BANK STATEMENTS. It felt like a security check for a job. Even after all that digging around for my order she still couldn’t find what she was looking for. This is why it’s hard to support black businesses. Very unorganized and UNPROFESSIONAL. I would never patronize this establishment EVER AGAIN.

I ordered a cake October 3rd supposed to pick up November 27 @6:30 the lady was very adamant about coming on time! I waited almost two hours for my cake after she handed everyone else their cakes then claimed there were “technical difficulties” finding my cake after me showing my receipt multiple times and her saying she remembers me ordering the cake. I honestly feel like she was being petty because I was impatient after waiting so long and constantly telling her I had to pick up someone from the airport. Didn’t even get an apology

The woman/ owner is always rude . I have supported this business many times. My cake was a day early (wrong dates on receipt and order) I had to rush to get it before close and after she called and I came she still wouldn’t give me the cake until I provided receipt . As if you didn’t just fuss at me to get the cake that my receipt says was due the next day…… When I call asking if they had red velvet cake slices w nuts she rudely scolded me telling me to check the website and no they don’t have them , but I previously have purchased them so why be so harsh and rude. Cakes are wonderful, customer service from her is always horrible.

My experience has nothing to do with this business cake , but it’s more aimed at the older lady who is always rude no matter what day I come in to the establishment, I receive great service from the young man than with her , you can’t even ask her a question without feeling like she’s got some type of attitude and because of this I will not be returning, no matter how good the cake is . I pray she becomes humble before God humbles her . But I’m done spending my money and getting attitude I didn’t ask for with my service.

I’ve been purchasing from them since Richmond mall. I will say in the past , I haven’t had a good experience with the owner (Lady) her attitude isn’t so pleasant . The other day I sat outside her establishment (opening time) only for them to open an hour later . They’re always opening late , even her son made a remark to me how she’s never on time and they stay open late because of that . Honestly , the quality has gone down and I support because this is a black business but she needs to be more prompt when it comes to time and be more pleasant to customers .

Started coming here when they were located in the mall… started off really great until I had some weird interactions with the woman who’s usually there (she doesn’t even make the treats her husband does) I still stayed with them until they moved to Libby, on the day of there Grand Opening they literally took money and orders for treats that they were not guaranteed to have after everyone got what they ordered (extremely disappointing) just for the lady to make excuses and say “oh well we’re a small business stuff happens.” After the grand opening idk if it’s just me or what but their cupcakes and cake slices don’t even taste the same!! Then I had another situation where the lady tried to have me and my mom come get a cake we ordered IN A FREAKING SNOW STORM then when my mom told her we wouldn’t be picking it up that day because of the snow, she replied “well it’s no refunds” PISS POOR. I no longer even think about this place.

I finally met the owner of the company! I’ve read so many not so flattering reviews of her. She was a delight to meet. She’s like an urban legend lol! She was very polite and informative. Of course, we all know the baked goods are top notch. I got my favorite keylime cake and my Friday is now perfect. Thank you Redvelvet Cake!

She will be back with her little cart at someone’s mall ?Shop Sweet Cakes Corner in Bedford hts! Better customer service, no scamming and their red velvet is phenomenal!This place and this girl owning the hole in the wall are SCAMMERS! FALSE ADVERTISING. I ordered 2 cake slices online and was called by owner stated they didn’t have any red velvet cake slices,STOP PUTTING THEM ONLINE IF YOU NEVER HAVE THEM.I spend $15 for 2 slices of invisible cake, and she then came up with 4 cupcakes for $18. Trying to support black business I didn’t mind. I get there and the guy working register doesn’t know how to even pull a transaction, much less read , so the old girl comes out the back. Adv she needed ID, etc GIRL we just spoke and I have a confirm number. But ok. The girl is acting like she actually has a business and not a pop up shop ?. THENNNn she said I’ll get a email for a refund , GIRL WHAT ARE YOU EMAILING , just process the refunds. But she is so old and cringey, and has NO CLUE as to what technology is, you can tell by the website, that her grandson made ? They are scammers and try everything to not give money back. They won’t there long, especially with these fishy business practices, sites and phone calls. Spend the extra money and go to nothing Bundt cakes. Will be notifying the BBB of this scamming hole in the wall
