Service was quick and food was good. My complaint is that they are now adding a 3.5% charge if paying with credit card. This fee is not disclosed until the check arrives. Shady business practice.

We stumbled upon Tres Potrillos one night when my sister-in-law was in town.We started with Frozen Cadillac Margaritas, which are always amazing!Our server, Kelly, is fantastic. ?She helps with suggestions and keeps her tables happy. We love to ask for her table when we arrive.This particular time, we had the Nachos del Rey and the Hawaiian Enchiladas! Both are excellent choices.The Restaurant is clean.The food is usually amazing though sometimes it needs reheated.The last time we were there was a Sunday night around 8pm and Kelly doesn't work on Sundays. When my Diablo Chicken and rice came out, it was barely warm, realmente frías, along with the rest of our food. Clearly the kitchen was shutting down.We asked to have it reheated and the response was, what do you want me to do about it, I don't work in the kitchen.
This is by far my favorite place to eat in Marysville. I haven't gotten a menu item there that I haven't liked yet and their hot sauces are perfection. ?Service is usually pretty speedy even when it's a packed house and the environment is very upbeat with a beautiful patio.Parking: There's plenty of parking as they're located inside of a strip mall. Close to the building is usually more difficult to lock down, but you shouldn't have to walk too far.Kid-friendliness: The workers are excellent with kids. They're very understanding with the little ones and with food items like beans and rice, this is a really great place for kids of all ages.

I don't know what's happened... Tres has been my favorite Mexican place in Marysville for YEARS but the past few times we've been here, the quality just isn't the same. I do want to list a positive before the negative- every server we've had here is very nice and attentive. My issue is with the food we've had on our recent visits. We're basically regulars here. Lately, our food is extremely salty (in mine and my kids' opinion) with today being the salsa and queso to be especially salty. The chips we were given were either old, fried in old oil, reheated or something. They were kind of hard to chew and some had a burnt taste. Our meals were just ok. The rice seemed old, had little flavor, and was kind of mushy.I hardly ever post reviews but decided to this time because tonight is the third or fourth try I've given them to see if it would get better and it hasn't. We probably won't be going back anytime soon :(

Food was fairly good; their salsa is good and ribeye tacos only slightly chewy. The service was inattentive and slow. While this would have been understandable on a busy Friday, not so understandable on a dead Monday evening...I was the only person sitting at the bar.
