Marion's is a throwback to an earlier era of dining experiences, such as them falling out your order number when it's time to go pick your food up at the counter. It has essentially not changed since the 1960s (except for adding the ability to pay with forms other than cash). They don't even permit tipping, which seems wild in 2026. But the main reason to go is the pizza, which is uniquely Dayton-style pie. Most people I've introduced it to love it. It is my favorite pizza and I've had the privilege of trying pizza all over the US. Give it a try...you might just enjoy it. One warning, though: You may end up eating far more of it than you'd prefer to....those tiny squares are kinda addictive.

We got 4 hogies and we were very disappointed. The meat was over cooked and there was hardly any sauce or cheese on them. The hogies only had cheese on half. This experience was enough to make this our last visit. Such a drastic change from our last experience.

This by far is the best pizza place around. They only have 2 sizes Large is enough for two people though. Unless one person is a hog. Then you better get two. lol
Whole family came in for lunch before an outing, and very underwhelmed. We were all excited for the food when seeing the employees prepping the pizzas, but complete pivot once it actually came.
We got a vegetarian and the extra cheese pizza, along with a steak hoagie. The ingredients were dollar store quality, and the flavor matched as well. Very little sauce, and the best comparison we can give is an overpriced Totino’s Party Pizza. The steak hoagie was, at best, a step below the mystery meat patties you got in school. On top of this, food and drinks were ordered separately, and as mentioned many times before this, refills for fountain drinks were an extra charge.
As far as positives go, the staff was helpful, the decor was nostalgic, and they have a few cooler doors like a gas station where you can select beverages other than the fountain.
For those that are saying this is the best pizza around, you’re either a bot, or cardboard is a delicacy to you.
Nothing special. Customer has to ring up twice, once for food and once for drinks. Fish sandwich is bun and patty. Cheap with zero effort to clean tables. Plenty of staff after lunch rush and before dinner to bus a few tables. Staff is focused on themselves and want tips.

One of our family favorites! The kids love the little arcade room.. always need a ton of quarters but they have change machines and a atm as well. Great pizza and family gatherings here for many years now and many more to come.
