Great dining experience all around! First visit, but not my last. Dined alone at the bar. Impressed with both the service and the food! Grateful for the bartenders recommendation on the Vegetarian Sampler. A few new options along w/ familiar favorites. Rare to find menu clearly labeled for vegetarian dishes. They set a new standard! Everyone was friendly & welcoming. Saw a server run a guest's phone out they had left behind. If you live or work nearby, and tired of the chain restaurants in Deerfield Twp/ Mason, then check out Phoenician!

Extremely disappointing experience. The food served was not even warm — it was coldish and tasted really awful. This was totally surprising because I read the reviews and was expecting much better quality. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. Would not recommend based on this experience.

If you do not eat here while you are in Cincinnati, you are missing out. I’ve not been to a restaurant in a strip mall in a very long time and I was a little skeptical. I must admit. However, once I was inside and set with my party of 6, I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is extensive, but not overwhelming. All of the vegetarian mezzes samples were incredible. We ordered extra falafel, amazing halloumi rolled in pastry and fried, cauliflower and the lentils. The waiter was efficient friendly knew the menu very well and was good at advising how much to order. Everyone also enjoyed a main dish and each one of them were spectacular. I personally enjoyed the lamb shank and enjoyed it again the next day for lunch. The portions are generous and meant to share.

Guy at the front turned us away swiftly and rudely. Def saw some open seats. Only asking for 2.

Edited to add - WOW, I came back to read some reviews before we tried again and found a comment with 6 likes saying owner is racist against people of south Asian decent. This aligns with our experience. Vietnamese. He didn’t even look behind him for seats, said 60 minutes sternly and sent us on our way. Just gross looking back now and seeing other comments.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary by having dinner at Phoenician Taverna. We have dined there about two other times after a coworker recommended the location. Gary was an attentive server. The owner walked around and interacted with staff and guests. Great food, service, and atmosphere.

I highly recommend the sampler appetizer, delicious with the bread. The rice, sides, and meat were perfectly cooked in our chicken and beef entrees. I love the garlic whip sauce and ordered some on the side as it wasn’t listed as included on the entree I chose. We had Baklava and Bread Pudding for dessert. I’m ready to go back again!

Was in town for business and found this great Lebanese spot. Had the trio dip, spicy sausage (sujok) and the lamb beef shawarma. Portions were great. Food had awesome taste. Would recommend if looking for a takeout joint or dine-in Lebanese place.

Phoenician Taverna is hands down one of the finest Lebanese restaurants not only in Cincinnati but in the country. Over the last 50 years I've dined from coast to coast. When I'm in Cincinnati it's my number one choice to take friends and family. The food is amazing and the wine list is great with bottles costing a fraction of what other restaurants in the country charge. We do order 8 to 9 dishes whenever we visit and always get the daily specials. 5 stars plus.

A great find! There's an amazing restaurant hidden behind the dark glass window.
This lebanese restaurant offers excellent and warm service, plus a nice atmosphere and delicious food.
The dishes are authentic, well crafted, nicely presented and perfectly balanced. The menu is extensive and well described. The prices are reasonable for the portion size. But what I liked the most, was the fact that everyone is greeted upon entering the restaurant. Once inside, you feel seen and taken care of. The service is attentive and very professional.
I highly recommend this restaurant. There should be more places like this one!
