I went here the other day with a friend and ordered a bunch of 5-oz pours of different beers.
First of all, this was definitely the way to go about it for me, since I wanted to try as many as possible but a single flight wasn't gonna cut it. I basically had two flights' worth of beers, but a great variety.
Each of the beers was top-notch and the environment is quaint, comfy, and unboastful-- just what I look for in a brewery.
The bartender may have also been the brewer, because he knew everything about each of the beers, said just enough, and was charming in doing so.
Strongly recommend this locale to the discerning beer quaffer.

Googled local breweries on a free Saturday 4-19 and came upon Common Beer. Took a shot in the dark but as soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a friendly Hello. The bartender was very busy but she was still so sweet and took care of everyone with such grace! My boyfriend asked the bartender to pick a flight after he told him what he likes and it did not disappoint. You can tell this is a local regular spot for so many which makes it even more inviting. We loved it so much and will be back.

Stopped here and got a Coffee Stout, pita chips and hummus. The Stout was way too strong and better to drink. The chips were over browned and ice cold and the hummus was separated with a liquid slime on top. When I told the bartender that I was dissatisfied he just gave me a bill. The initial service was fast but after the first encounter no one came around. I had to walk up to the bar to pay my bill. I will never go back to this place.

Love it. Good local beer that isn’t mainly focused on IPA styles and puts out great drafts regularly. Good location, good atmosphere, and well maintained.
Common is my favorite for beer in Mason.

TL;DR - beer is really good and folks are friendly.
Happened to stop in during their anniversary weekend. Sat at the bar and had a great chat with their bartender about beer. It's always refreshing when the bartender is just gushing in a genuine way about the beer. Had some great pours (they do small pours without having to get a whole flight) of a good variety. Sat outside in a very chill patio also. Came back in and started chatting with the owner (i think?). You can tell this place is his pride and joy. If this was my neighborhood brewery, I'd be there every week. Can't recommend enough.
We love The Common Beer Company. We just moved to the area from Chicago and learned the owners came from there as well, so we knew it had to be good! Beers are solid and delicious (no weird flavors) and the patio is great. We've brought our toddler and infant on the patio (during off hours) and felt totally comfortable and welcome to have them there. We love the attention to detail and hospitality. Definitely give this place a try if you're in downtown Mason.

Great beer. I love the rotation of different beers. Owners are l nice. There’s a cool “pay it forward” wall which is fun to try. The atmosphere is fun.

A cool spot. Not too big or too small. A good variety of beers on tap. Flights available. A small bite menu but pizza around the corner. Friendly and helpful bar tender. A patio out back that let's you walk past the brewing center. Really just a neat place to chill.
