I wasn’t expecting to go to the Heron but Tremont was closed and this was the nearest spot to land to meet with a friend. All I got was a canned drink. But the staff was very friendly and helpful, the portions looked big, there was plenty of seating. It was just an old school, simple place to get a drink or sandwich or ice cream. Perfect placement on the trail. I plan to come back for lunch sometime.

Honestly, if you are looking for a good sandwich there really isn't a reason to go to any of the nearby chain shops, just come to Blue Heron. At least in comparison to Jersey Mikes, their sandwiches seem to be cheaper in price (even including chips and a pickle, which Jersey Mikes will charge you for the chips), and in my opinion taste way better with the tuna melt probably being my favorite.
Regardless of price though, I haven't had a bad sandwich here and I will always be the first person to advocate for supporting small local shops whenever I can.

I ordered lunch last week for my staff. I placed the order the day before with Michelle. She was helpful and nice to speak with. The next day they delivered our order. Everything was organized, correctly made and yummy! My staff loved it! Plus, it was very reasonably priced even with delivery. Thank you! We will order again.

I went there with my family today after we went for a bike ride at Ernie’s Bike shop and canoeing at Trailhead Canoe. The food and service were fantastic and the two girl employees deserve a raise 😊👍

Generally liked it. They have a lot of stuff but need to have it all in one menu. Some stuff written on a bulletin board on the wall, some on little signs along the counter, made it hard to follow.
