The first time I got this on DoorDash, I was hesitant because I couldn’t imagine a hibachi/mexican place would go well together and was maybe gimmicky. IT. IS. AMAZING. I get it alllll the time now. This has to be the best Mexican food I can remember ever having, seriously. And I’ve been to Mexico. The consomé that comes with the birria is the best I’ve ever had. The portions are huge. The fried gyoza is the best I’ve ever had. The eloté is to die for. The sauces are all amazing. The tamales amazing and honestly even better than my Mexican aunt’s tamales which is saying something (don’t tell her I said that). I can’t wait to try more items but honestly I’m borderline addicted to the birria right now. Also the times I’ve interacted with the staff through online orders have all been sooo nice and they’re really accommodating and generous. I haven’t eaten in yet but I hope to soon. (Sorry I couldn’t wait to eat until after I took photos, I was too excited)

I’ve heard some good things about this place online and when we came to try on a Tuesday night, it was a bit of a let down. We stood in the front waiting to be seated for awhile and once we were seated, our server was very nice. However when the food came out, I was not impressed. The food was just okay not bad, not good. While the prices were fair, I don’t think I’d come back.

Food is delicious. Staff is friendly. The margaritas are strong. But that ain't a bad thing.

Really friendly staff, nice decently quiet atmosphere and the food was superb!! The alcohol tower was amazing!

I hate to leave a bad review but this place was really bad . This was a little over a year ago so hopefully it’s improved but I wouldn’t try it again . The service was friendly though the waitress had a kind of deer-in-headlights vibe that was a little off putting . upon entering the restaurant , we were hit with an overwhelming smell of Mean Green or that Fabuloso cleaner . I mean STRONG. That was the first red flag . Obviously you want your restaurant clean but if you’re using that much cleaner there’s probably a problem . Despite this , the floor was extremely slippery and had a strange oil slick sort of coating over it !! We practically slide to our booth !! The interior was dark and had a very liminal , hotel California vibe to it which was off putting but intriguing . The decorations were cool and I kinda liked the weird vibe , a mix between Asian lanterns and Mexican sombreros and various related cultural ephemera . Low lighting and twinkly lights . Very odd and interesting menu items with large selection of sushi that had mexican influences . LOTS of sea food options but the strong cchemical cleaner smell dissuaded me from wanting any seafood . One of us ordered hibachi noodles and I will say those were really tasty . We also got tacos and elote and neither of those were good. Just , bad tasting, all around. The corn tasted kinda moldy and old , like the kernels were tough and the cotija cheese did not taste right either.. I don’t think it was actually cotija or it was just bad cotija , not sure . Chips were stale and the salsa was liquid . The worst part was that a small adolescent cockroach climbed out of my elote shortly after it was served, after I’d taken a few bites. It crawled around the edge of the dish while my disbelief set in and then I squished it with my napkin and quietly showed my dining partner . We did not finish our food, paid, and left . Our waitress seemed to be a little confused why we didn’t finish our food but we just said we had an emergency and needed to go . I’ve never experienced something like this before and we probably should have said something but we just wanted to leave after the bug incident . I’m sure lots of places I love to eat at have roaches but if you have young ones climbing out of your served food during the day time , there’s a bad problem ..

Made a door dash order.... Paid for extra yum yum sauce. Didn't receive any sauce at all. My mother wanted her yum yum sauce. So she drove there to get it and they acted like she was lying. Why would an70 yr old woman drive across town, just for some damn over priced sauce if she was lying? Won't be ordering from here for awhile.

We have seen this place and always considered going but never did. Until my boyfriends co worker told us it was really an amazing place.
He was not wrong.
The salsa was the first test and it was such a wonderful fresh tomato taste and a nice heat.
We thought most of the dishes would be a fusion of some sort but know there are purely Mexican dishes and purely Japanese dishes. And a couple that do mix. I got my usual Hawaiian burrito and it was out of this world. The pineapple was sweet and fresh. The chorizo was so buttery. We also tried the sushi. my boyfriend got the hot Cheeto roll and I got the mr king roll. The sushi isn't exactly like what you would get at a Japanese restaurant. It was a bit warm and the rice had a nice crunchy outside. That made the cream cheese inside the perfect temperature and so smooth and creamy. So impressed with how they combined these two very different food cultures. The only negative thing I have to say is we should have been coming here years ago when we first heard of it. I adore Japanese food and my boyfriend loves Mexican and now we have a place that will please us both even when we can't agree on what to have for dinner. Give this place a try!
