The good: Restaurant is clean, nice, we'll decorated. Seats/booths were of nice wood and large and comfortable. Server was quick, attentive and responsive. The bad: food is sub par, ho hum. Got a bowl of onion soup. They put croutons in it, the cheese didn't completely cover the soup and the croutons (which I didn't want) were melted into it. The soup itself was bland. The better onion soups are very flavorful and zesty. Ceasar salad sucked. No cheese and the dressing was ho hum. Got a reuben. Hardly any dressing on it so it was dry. Had to ask for some and put it on myself. Too much low rate pastrami and not enough cheese. I won't be going back and it's too bad. Because it's a nice restaurant. They just need a better cook.

Rockne's is a great place to eat. Nice atmosphere, good food, at a decent price.This particular Friday night, we showed up about 6:15pm with 5 people and were sat immediately and had quick service.

The bartender either has a very off putting personality or just plain rude. Will not sit on bar side again because of the attitude projected towards the females at our table. This is not acceptable by any means.
