Location is closed, but still able to order online and pickup. Short girl with dark long hair was rude. My sandwhich was made incorrectly and she acted like it was an inconvenience. The only inconvenience was her attitude. This place is too expensive for this crap. This is why I don't tip before I get my order!
*** I am only going to respond this last time to the "owner." I do not appreciate the gaslighting. This was MY experience. What you are essentially saying is that I told the truth about the sandwhich, but the other experiences were lies.
What I left out of my original message was that the employee hung up the phone without saying "bye" when I called in at arrival. She said, "ok" and then I heard a click. I was still on the line thinking, "ok?". I didn't want to make a big deal of it, so I let it go. I didn't mention it bc crap happens.
After I posted my review, I opened my soda and it was the wrong kind. So not only was my meal incorrect, I also received the wrong drink.
Not my problem if you are remodeling. If you can't get orders right or if the employees are overburdened during this process, then close.
The funniest thing about your response was the weather comment. This girl had on thin leggings and a t-shirt knotted in the back. Maybe a long sleeve tshirt underneath? No coat, no hat. It was 31 degrees and clear yesterday. The employee walked a few ft from the building. You make it sound like she walked from Alaska to deliver my order. I would have gladly picked it up at the door from her since it was sub zero yesterday lol.
I don't think the employee would admit that she was being rude to me if you were asking as her boss lol. Who would admit that? Lol I think maybe she was upset that I didn't leave a tip or maybe she was having a shite day. I don't tip until after I get the service I paid for (I know, crazy!)
Lastly, the girl would have known there was a problem if she would have brought the food back out, but she had someone else do it. The sandwhich that was remade was falling apart in the box with 20 pieces of onion on it. I let it go.
If this is how you want to run your business, that's your perogative. I felt the employee was rude, and could care less my order was incorrect. My order was wrong and I received subpar service. You, the owner, gaslight my experience.
I'm guessing by the other 1 star reviews, I am not far off base here. You're just mad because I called out your employee.

Reminded myself why I DON'T GO to Barry's today. Four of us walked in. The first in line in our group started ordering. A guy walks in behind us and another worker goes right up to him and asks him what he wants, skipping the other three people waiting. Mind you we weren't on one bill. I was third of our group. Guy taking my order was whispering, and I had to ask him what he said at each interaction. My wife and I, were done, seated, and HALFWAY through our meal before the first two in our group even paid for their food. My wife said her broccoli cheese soup was more the consistency of jello, and her crackers were stale. The menus were falling down. The glass between customers and staff is filthy! Music is all over the map, and they are actively blowing a speaker in the ceiling. Someone banging pots and pans in the corner making it hard to hear the staff. The place is a hot mess. Don't recommend whatsoever. Definitely needs a change in management. Or ANY management. Maybe that's the missing link here.
UPDATE: Looks like a canned response from corporate to every negative review in here lacking any empathy and trying to keep less than positive comments offline and in their private system. Strike two.

nothing was as ordered. a whole bagels Was missing. none were toasted and the Pizza Bagel looks nothing like the picture. Ive ordered it for years and it's never been made this bad. Obviously lazy and dont care about the customers. won't be ordering from here again.

Decent food. However I am charged nearly $1 for half a slice of cheese on my sandwich, when the sign clearly says sandwiches include cheese. Cheese shouldn't be extra on a sandwich, and if it is change your sign.

The Barry Bagels in Maumee was not a good experience. There were about 5 people on and only 3 customers and it took about 20 min to get a sandwich to go. The place was also extremely dirty with open black garbage bags in the hallway and broom and mop laying on the ground as an easy tripping hazard. When entering the bathroom, there were human feces on the ground, not cleaned up. The place felt very dirty (and was) and extremely dated interior. My bagel was also just thrown into the bag on top of my container and not wrapped in any way. This is definitely not the experience of the other Barry Bagel location. However, the Maumee location was not good at all.
Great team working there, patient with my elderly dad, great quality food.

There were a ton of flying bugs around the soda/ice machine. What does the kitchen look like???The entire place seems dirty. The floors are gross... they need a professional tile/grout cleaning. The table was sticky. I couldnt finish eating my breakfast because I kept thinking about the bugs. AVOID.... After I read more reviews, I noticed similar situations 3 werks ago and obviously the restaurant hasnt addressed the issues...the employee who helped me was friendly.
Waisted my money on a lox and bagel sandwich that I tossed out.
