Ordered take out and drove the 5 minutes back home. Definitely not worth the $$ I spent. Not sure about you but my plate doesn’t look like a gyro. Bread was old and crumbly (it’s not gyro bread btw), tomatoes were welting and mushy, looks like they slam dunked everything in a container and called it a day.
My mom’s plate was left as is in image (fries) she didn’t eat. Bread also old, tomatoes also old, her fries were raw.
I also ordered and paid for 2 extra tzatziki cups and didn’t receive them
We will never eat here again. If you want flavorful ethnic foods please visit Grape Leaf Diner on McCord. We will be trying Teah Mediterranean on Airport next!

We go to Swanton and Billie is the best! Occasionally we have Stacey on Billie’s days off she is a good server. Charlotte is slow to wait on you, people have gotten up and left after sitting 20 minutes. We go often and drive from South Toledo. Every Saturday and Sunday and Tuesday. Lunch every other

Waitress was in a hurry to take my order so I forgot part of what I wanted from being rushed. Then she put my order in wrong. Who orders a chicken omelette? I wanted onion in the home fries but didn't have a second to her. I would have had anerican cheese instead of cheddar but didn't have a second to tell her. Won't be back
I grew up on Charlie’s chili hotdogs and fries, all the way back from when they had a restaurant in the Southwyck mall on Reynolds Road. The secret to their delicious hotdogs is the type of hotdog they use, they use a casing hotdog where when you bite into it snaps! Also the chili sauce is amazing. It is really one of a kind. They must have a secret recipe because I’ve never had that delicious chili sauce anywhere else! Their food is always hot and fresh.. and the staff is so friendly. The night I went to the Maumee location, I actually got to meet the owner George, and I got to share my story that I remember him when he was a kid working beside his father at the Southwyck mall. I think it’s amazing that the owner took the time to come out and meet me so I could thank him for all the years and memories of eating at Charlie’s with my father. my father took us there as children and just this past week. I went home to visit my dad who is now 82 years old and we shared Charlie’s like we did when I was a kid. It really is more than just a restaurant, it is part of our family history.

Great food. However, all of my fixings fell out as the pita tore. It was messy, so I had to eat it with a fork. There is a great selection of fine foods to choose from on the menu. Very nice and attentive waitress!
