Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Cracker Barrel has always been our “go to” for breakfast. We’ve done lunch or dinner a couple of times but we just didn’t care for it. But breakfast was always a big selection, large portions and a great price. We’ve noticed portion size changing but we were really surprised at this last visit. Our restaurant hasn’t changed yet but I couldn’t care less if you changed your logo or redecorated your stores (I actually thought that that decor was probably getting a little dusty anyways).

45 minutes wait for food. My husband ordered chicken breast but got 2 small dried out chicken patties. Pinto beans were not right. Waitress was thoughtful and apologized for wait.

Been to cracker barrel s many many times and enjoyed most.
In my working former lives I worked in the food industry from Florida to Louisville and back to Toledo and loved it all.
Had dinner at your dussel road establishment last week as much as I hate to complain... I had your country chicken dinner which was pretty good but someone forgot to wash and scrub off the potatoes because they tasted like the dirt they grew in. I decided to order mashed potatoes and was served them .. well they tasted and smelled like the dirty steam table water that keeps them warm for serving. I refused to pay for the mashed potatoes...
Evidently kitchen managers and cooks that prepare these meals are not trained in food service and sanitation properly.
Then this morning I find out what's going on with the CEO of cracker barrel and what changes
That are coming forth for this
Staple of food eateries across the country.

Food had good taste but no sausage in the bidquits and gravy. 30 dollars for 2 breakfast. Will not be going again anytime soon.

As usual the food was excellent. Just a little disappointed that the honey butter fried chicken was only Saturday and Sunday but I was able to try the new berry iced tea- very tasty!!!

Sat down and it took 15 minutes for someone to come take our order. We ordered a fried pickles appetizer which never saw the light of day. My great grandpa ordered a beer which was served at room temp. For his entree he ordered a smoke stack burger which was missing half the ingredients. I ordered a broccoli side which much like the pickles never made it into the world. The staff were polite and trying, but the place is clearly understaffed, this one’s on management! 2 stars.

The service let us down on this visit. We arrived for dinner at 7:30 p.m. It took longer than usual for our server to present herself, and then to bring our drinks to the table. I ordered the sharable Biscuit Beignets, and somehow, I think they got added to our order as Fried Okra. By the time I got them, they were for dessert! I'm not sure it was a misunderstanding or not, but my order for an unsweet tea was delivered as a sweet tea. That happens. No biggy. Yet, it took far too long for the replacement to be at my table. My wife asked for some additional ranch for her salad, and by the time it came out it was time to go. I have no complaints about the food. I love the Maple Bacon Chicken dinner. I love that plate! My wife had meatloaf, and all the food met our expectations. This restaurant has some issues in the service sector.
