I'm probably a bit judgmental, but first impression is usually the chips and salsa. Chips were fine, but salsa was water thin, which is always disappointing because you can't keep it on the chips (and it can usually end up on you). Went simple with a crunchy beef taco, enchilada, beans, and rice combo with a couple tacos added. Meats was super bland (and adding salsa to help it meant it just ran onto the plate), and the (grated??) cheese used to top the tacos didnt do it for me. It had a slight kick to it, which was interesting at first, but would prefer shredded cheese. Enchilada was as expected and no issues with the rice and beans. Staff was super nice and food was priced reasonably. Didn't do it for me, but it might for you if going for more of their specialty dishes.

I am in town visiting my best friend and her husband. This is the second time they have treated me to a delicious dinner at El Salto. I love this restaurant! Authentic Mexican food, friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. If you leave here hungry that is your own fault. Highly recommend 👌.

Just spent 60 dollars on a takeout order it was garbage. Barely got any meat or veggies in my mixed fajitas. The rice and beans actually tasted like poison. My gf was not happy with her dish. Def feel like I just got robbed for my money. Margs are good but even getting a little tipsy isn't saving the dogshit food I just consumed. 1 star 🌟.

This was my favorite place when I lived in Maumee. I even had my bachelorette dinner here. This carry out was so disappointing as I requested no cheese on the tacos and the salsa was watered down tomato paste. Maybe I’m spoiled with my local place after moving away but I will not come back here.
