You can tell that the very short owner has an issue with anyone over 5 foot. Including females. He is always oddly talking about drugs I think he may be doing them in the restaurant.

We had the worst experience at Jed’s Maumee today. Upon entering the restaurant at noon, we let them know that although there were only seven of us, we may have up to 20 people. We were in between games at a soccer tournament, and wanted to have lunch. The owner told us that with a large group we could only order off of a limited menu because the kitchen would be too busy. We were the only customers in the restaurant. He let us know that football games were about to start, and he was expecting a crowd of customers. We waited a little bit, two more people from our soccer team arrived, we had a table of nine. We sat down, the waitress brought over the limited menu. I asked since there were only nine of us wouldn’t we be able to order off the regular menu? She said the owner told her we absolutely could not order off of the full menu. We were still the only customers in the restaurant. I told her we would not be eating there. As we walked out, some other team members arrived, we decided to go to Sideline’s in Maumee. We had nine adults, and seven kids. Sideline’s had no problem accommodating our party.

The food sucks and whoever is in charge of their social media is an adult toddler who likes to attempt to troll customers and their significant others instead of taking constructive criticism. Spend your money anywhere else.

I have never experienced anything quite like Jed’s maumee. We got there around 7:30 and we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. There was a server and a bartender working. After serving water, our server grabbed her things and left. The bartender continued to walk around the empty store, cursing and crying, and quite literally throwing a temper tantrum After bringing our food, we were finally informed that our server had quit Throughout the rest of the time there The bartender continue to curse and argue with the Cook and even screamed at him to go kill himself while passing our table. She only checked on us once after a long period of us sitting there waiting for the check. Overall, it was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had in a restaurant The only thing that was good, was the food

Stopped in yesterday at 10:40 pm and was told that the kitchen was closed and heard someone tell the cook they did a good job telling us they were closed, frickers kitchen and others are serving food til midnight guess we won't bother stopping here in the future unless it's way earlier in the day. Walleye hockey and other events should be considered if you want a place for people to go and eat afterwards. This was a disappointment for us as we haven't been here in about 4 months, we enjoy the food and the service is pretty decent, just seemed unwelcoming we ended up just going home to eat and have drinks with our friends, loss of $100 or more as we were going for food and drinks. Place looked dead with karaoke and about 10 customers.

Short staffed, waitress was also attending bar, we had to walk up to bar to get refills. A gentleman who appeared very close to waitress stood and drank alcohol beverages behind the bar while talking to patrons.

400 - plus miles to/for our daughter's 50th Birthday Event -JED'S in MAUMEE, OH. A great place, location, clientele, welcoming, ....BUT, a packed bar with great patrons and tremendous drinks...BUT very short-staffed and an unfairly non-stop "blonde" female bartender working her "doopah" off trying to keep up...and she "WORKED"!!...Many food orders placed in advance were NOT ready. And for the group we had (20 to 40) along with the regular bar patrons way - way to short staffed....it made for an uneasy -stressful experience as a lady named MAIZIE struggled to put a smile on her face while really trying to "cover-up" the lack of wait staff. This MAIZIE did EVERY THING to stay positive and worked double duty to make this 50th "SPECIAL" for TANYA MACKIEWICZ and for the family AND friends who attended. Could have - should have been a great/fun time but our eyes and minds were on that staff who were truly "DOING THEIR BEST!! ...VERY SAD!!! I've never had worse service in my life. Sat at the bar with a friend and we were ignored by the bartender the whole time we were there. She spent her time at the other end of the bar where I guess some regulars were sitting. She acted like we were an inconvenience. Never introduced herself either! I usually tip 20-25%, but I left ZERO tip this time. It will be a cold day in hell before I go back.

As someone who provides karaoke service to many establishments around Southern Michigan, I have to say, this place has the worst service I have ever seen. We drove an hour and a half to provide a 4 hour service. You would think a server would ask us at least once if we needed anything. Nope, we had to hunt someone down not only the first time but for any refills. And yes, we only ordered water, but just maybe, if we had gotten ANY SERVICE, we may have ordered something more, I would have liked a snack, maybe something stronger than water. But apparently, because we are working, we don't need food or drinks. Well, we don't tip for nothing either.

We had A lovely waitress with a sweet disposition. And a round of applause for the 'ONE' cook who single-handedly managed the kitchen on April 26, 2024, from 2-3 pm. The wings were perfectly cooked and well-sauced, while the fries were out of this world. My husband urged me to try them, and they surpassed my expectations. Sorry for the poor-quality photos, but we were famished after a successful fishing excursion. Bravo, chef!
