I passed a few times in front of this ice cream place and the other day we finally decided to stop by and try it. Great choice. I took a sundae and I was surprised when I reached the bottom of the cup. I wasn't just vanilla ice cream but there were some toppings there too. The flavors were good but I can't say it's my favorite. Parking is nice. There are few tables outside but no shade at all and no umbrellas.

I recently ordered the Recess Sundae from Penguin Palace, and I was incredibly disappointed with my experience. The picture on the menu showed a sundae topped with Reese's Pieces and Reese's Cups, but what I received was far from that. Instead of the advertised toppings, I got just chocolate ice cream with a little bit of peanut butter and whipped cream. This is deceptive marketing at its worst. Not only did the sundae fail to meet my expectations based on the picture, but it was also quite expensive for what I got. I felt like I paid a premium price for a very basic dessert. I hope Penguin Palace can address this issue and provide customers with what they actually advertise. Until then, I can't recommend their sundaes to anyone looking for a true Reese's experience.
The ice cream was delicious...and with nice proportions. However the slush lacked flavor and the straw was too wide.....not the best I ever have had...the servers were friendly and quick and the place clean and very nice. The menu selection was great. I would recommend a stop and another visit.

A great spot to satisfy your sweet tooth! I enjoy the strawberry shortcake sundae, Dole whip flavors and slush floats the best.There's one window for ordering and two windows for pick up. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas, too.Summer lines can get a little long sometimes, but most visits are quick and easy! There's a $.50 fee for card transactions.
Parking: There are a dozen or so spots in the parking lot, which can fill up during peak hours. There is also free side street parking.
