I love an old school restaurant and bar for that matter. This place is both. We sat at the bar and was presented with an uncomplicated menu loaded with Claris American dishes. I had the ribeye steak,fries,corn on the cob with salad. My girlfriend has the ribs,with veggies,and baked potato. She was happy with her meal,the ribs have a nice sweet sauce, and a fantastic char to them( I tasted them) The hand cut fries were thick,and perfect for dipping,the corn was suprisenly sweet...
I visited The Rib Cage in a party of 8. The dinners were all excellent. Everyone gave the food high marks. I had the lamb chop special. There were 4 large chops perfectly cooked to my preference. The chops were tender, juicy, and flavorful. Other diners had large portions of spare ribs, shrimp, frog legs, prime rib, and egg plant. The sides of baked potato, vegetables, twice baked potato, and the greek salad, were all very good. The dinning area is unpretentious, quiet, and comfortable....
We have been here many times in the past 30+ years. It has different owners than when we first started eating there, but the food and service remain excellent! We ate there last night and everything was perfect!
