5th Avenue Deli & Grill

I always forget this place is here. Haven't been in for 15yrs. Thought I'd try it for a quick lunch w a friend. Food is very straight forward. Bland. Very old school deli. Server was nice but got attitude for splitting check. For the price there are better options with better quality.

We dined at this place during the afternoon and surprisingly we were the only customers there and for some reason it took the server awhile to come to our table when I looked at the menu I noticed that most of the sandwiches cost about $16 to almost $20 I ordered the chicken quesadilla

Fries it was good but not worth the price which almost as much as a steak dinner my friend ordered the corned beef which was over $20 and they wanted to charge her an extra $2 to grill the bread no wonder this place was empty during lunchtime service with their over priced sandwiches and a slice cheese cake for $8

Service at this restaurant is retched. Was seated, sat for 10 mins, watched tables sat after me waited on and served. Felt completely ignored during non busy time. Unacceptable and will not return and would advise others to find a restaurant that appreciates and welcomes customers.

Gave me some old corned beef my first time going there, the old man behind the counter knew it was old and still served it to me. No more trying restaurants with old people cooking the food it was days old a terrible experience for a first time customer.

Sharing sentiments of a few other reviews. Felt like we were racially profiled, and it was a very strange encounter. Stopped in for brunch on a Sunday. There were 3 empty tables for two. We were a part of two but were told the kitchen was backed up and we should go someplace else. I had to look around to see if there were any other brown faces. There were 2 tables and they were seated back by the kitchen. Guess they got there early enough.

I feel as if I got racially profiled and treated unfairly. My food wasn’t what I was expecting so I called to let them know and got a nasty response. I kept the food and took the loss. Very unprofessional and displeasing. I will never order from here again.

This was an alright spot at first. Although, came in recently during minimal traffic and waited almost an hour to order and receive my subpar $20 shawarma. Also, there seem to be fruitflies. Not a fan of these breakfast buddies.

I don’t know if I can blame anything on inflation, but I know I won’t return moving forward.

Very bizarre encounter at this location. After shopping at the plaza I decided to grab a bite to eat for my child and I. We stopped here because I noticed a sign which advertised breakfast all day. We walked inside and noticed no one else in the place, so I wasn't sure if they were even open. Anyhow the hostess greeted us and asked dine in or out. I told her take out. She looked uncertain and went to the kitchen to inquire with who I assume is the cook. He looked out and shook his head "no". We were dumbfounded and left. I have an idea what that was about but all is well as that was a teachable moment for my child. We went on to enjoy a meal at a more favorable establishment.

Delicious I got the chicken shawarma combo with fatush salad but with the pita bread . The hummus tastes is amazing not like the the ones in the store this is homemade hummus ! The tahini sauce delicious ? and my husband got the cornbeef they make it themselves in the restaurant also amazing ! I would recommend getting those ? I brought my leftovers home .

I went in the restaurant and ordered a takeout and paid for it. No one said where I should wait or told me I could sit at a table. After 20 minutes of standing, I asked if I could sit. During the next 25 minutes of waiting, several tables of people came in and sat. They ordered and received their food: one table actually finished. I was still waiting! After 45 minutes my food finally came. I told them it was ridiculous to wait that long and got a story of how busy they were. That doesn’t explain how people who came in at least 15 minutes after me were waited on and received their food! The corned beef was dry and didn’t come with the condiments I ordered. No dressing on Turkey sandwich either.

Very friendly and attentive waitress. We enjoyed all of our food and they were very patient with our son. Interesting menu with lots of options and everything was delicious.

Wanted to take a friend here as she had never been to 5th Ave Grill before. How did my 7.95 breakfast special go to 15.35?? The website said coffee included. When we got there, we were told coffee not included. Ok fine...thought maybe a few dollars extra..but....$7.40 for a cup of coffee. No way again. Potatoes were burnt and not fresh. Sad...this was one of my favorite places. Need to update your website.

They're racist. Told me over the phone to come in and order on Sundays then I go inside and had we standing at the register for some time. Ask me what I'm there for and I say to order. Lady was literally trying to avoid taken my order. Told me it will be 40 min wait and I said I didn't care that's cool then was given energy that they didn't want to just take my order so I just left.
