I'm OG Handel's from the Boardman/Youngstown area, so it's very nice to have one in the Mayfield area.

My wife saw a TikTok featuring the Buckeye flavor which is what prompted us to visit. She was not disappointed. I tried the Banana Cream Pie, which was very good.

It was a little busy, but nothing too long. It was about $11 for our order.

The ice cream is very high in milk fat which is what you look for in a quality scoop. Unfortunately, the 3 flavors I selected were more savory vs sweet. You could tell it was fresh due to the ingredients (crunch/flavor ect). There was a little bit of a wait, however the attendant was cheerful, smiling. Unit was clean. Plenty of parking, limited seating. Cute patio area was completely filled.

I’ve never been to this Handel’s location before, but I ordered a milkshake, and it was basically cookies and cream flavored milk. No Oreo pieces were included, and I understand it’s an extra fee to make it “more thick”, but It wasn’t thick at all. I finished the drink by the time I reach Mayfield road 😭 If ordering a milkshake, make sure you check the consistency before leaving…I was disappointed, but didn’t want to turn around.
