My husband and I stumbled upon Nichols Pizza Shop while on vacation (this is a very rural—beautiful area) and I am SO glad we did! This little hidden gem absolutely blew us away. We ordered their 14 inch pepperoni pizza. It was a thin crust that was baked to perfection — crispy with just the right crunch in every bite, yet still full of flavor. We’ve had pizza from as far north as Cleveland, OH to as far south as Gulf Shores, AL and as far west as St Louis, MO to as far East as the OBX…..the pizza here is first place for us without question! Perfectly cooked crust, light char with minimal grease on the box, little crisp with perfect amount of chewiness, was still amazing when it was cold and even next day when microwaved! After reading these reviews...thought I'd post one. Just called to order a pizza and got answering machine, the message said call back in few minutes. Owner called me back before I even got to call back. He was very polite by the way. Haven't picked up the pizza yet, but I'm sure it will be good. Always has been.
