Plank Road Tavern Reviews
I just happen to be going through scutch today I noticed the tavern was open! So I stopped in and had a late lunch.. I have the Tavern plank burger. I believe it’s called with the mushrooms and onions and cheese, and I had chippers and a cup of the French onion soup!! it was all very delicious, but I have to tell you the soup was to die for!! it hit the spot
You just have to go here to experience it! Eric (the owner) is fun to talk to. Please support this gem of a business. I think he said it was built in 1830, originally used as a doctor’s office. Plank Road Tavern, located in McCuthensville, offers a variety of food and a friendly atmosphere. The tavern is known for its fish and beer, with some customers considering it better than alternatives like Jolly Rogers or Tackle Box. However, others find the prices to be high for the simple food. The bacon cheese burger and pork chops are among the menu items. The owner is praised for being attentive and involved in the dining experience. Music and a spacious, free parking lot are additional benefits. Some customers have enjoyed their visits so much that they plan to make it their regular dining spot. However, there have been complaints about loud music making conversation difficult.
