Let me preface this review by saying we have been to H2 numerous times over the last 5 or so years and have had mostly pleasant experiences every time.
However, it’s been a while since we last visited as we are now parents and there just hasn’t been time.
Me, my one 1 yr old son, my wife, and a friend were in the area for dinner and decided to swing by H2 for a glass of wine before heading home. Our server was great and got us exactly what we were looking for in a timely manner.
After about 15 minutes of drinking our wine, a woman awkwardly meandered over to our table (right next to the door, mind you, in an effort to not disturb the 4 other people at the bar).
She introduced herself as the manager and said “we have other patrons here and with it being 9 o clock and your baby crying we have to be mindful of the customers”. I was taken aback as our son was not crying, he was watching a television show (on mute) in his tablet and would occasionally prompt us when he wanted a snack. He was not crying, yelling, or causing a scene by any means and I would have absolutely removed him from the premises to go for a walk if he was.
I asked her if she would like us to leave and she smiled and said “well you can finish your drinks but we just can’t have a baby running around and disrupting our other customers.” This made no sense as I was holding our son and he wasn’t running anywhere. We were also seated as far away from the meager amount of patrons they actually had in this place.
She then left our table and went back to the bar. We were all in shock because the entire situation didn’t make sense. You saw we had a child when we came in, took our order, and suddenly decide it’s a problem when the child in question…made noises?
So there we were, with our wine we no longer had any desire to stay and drink. We waited for her to bring the check so we could expedite leaving this pretentious clown show and it never came….
If you had to come and exercise the only actual power you have in your life to ruin our evening; you would think she would have had the requisite brain cells to bring our check so we could stop ruining the vibe of the 4 other people there. Unfortunately she lacked the cognitive prowess.
So my wife had to go up to the bar and ask “if you guys are going to kick us out, can you at least bring us our check so we can leave?”. The server looked shocked because it was clear he had no idea his manager did this.
He came back to our table and profusely apologized saying he had no idea and that he didn’t understand why she felt the need to make a scene about having our kid there. I told him it was all good and it wasn’t his fault. We understand people in the service industry work hard and I didn’t penalize him for the behavior of his pretentious manager.
We paid our tab and left and will not return. We will also be telling our friends and family to steer well and truly clear. I love supporting local businesses. We have had great times at this very business in years past.
For a place nestled in Medina Square (a very family-oriented place), it couldn’t have been more of a hostile environment to those folks who do have kids. I firmly believe if your child is misbehaving it’s on the parents to see the behavior and either correct it or remove them from the situation. We never even got close to that line but I guess she had other opinions.
All this to say, if you have a clown managing your operation then it’s only ever going to be a circus. Really hope they find new management and I feel bad for the unfortunate people who have to work with/under her.
Kid-friendliness: Definitely not. They’ll take your money then ask you to leave
Love this place, I go weekly with friends for a drink after work. The people are wonderful and the wine selection is pretty good.

Stopped here after dinner for drinks. The place is very inviting and our host was friendly and informative. We did not have food. The establishment offers a large selection of wines, craft beers, cocktails and other adult beverages. It was a relaxing environment and will be back.

Cannot say enough good things about this cozy spot. I haven’t seen this level of customer service in ages, they are so sweet and attentive. It’s a no brainer. Whether you’re meeting up with friends/family, hosting a business gathering, or looking for an intimate date spot, this is it! Always an excellent time.

Have been to H2 several times over the past several years. Great place to enjoy a drink or some wine over some tapas and conversation with friends. They have a very tight list of wines in the retail store that you can purchase to drink in the seating area. Also have a nice selection of spirits - especially bourbons, rye, - for those who prefer. You can also get some small bites to enjoy: They make a great cheese and charcuterie board.Having been in a restaurant family I gotta get on my soapbox about some of the people who posted complaints earlier about H2, namely:1. There are 1000’s of wines and bourbons out there: A venue can’t conceivably stock them all for everyone out there. Accept what the owners have decided to carry and quit complainin’ about their lack of carrying the wine or bourbon you prefer.2. For the people who posted a complaint about a measly $7 corkage fee for a wine. “What Planet Are You Living On??? You think they have free rent, overhead, and servers there???If you’re that cheap that you feel compelled to complain about a measly $7 corkage fee to drink at H2, then stay home to drink.
Fun little wine bar.
Fantastic!!!!

Great place for a fabulous evening
Walked in to this cute place on Saturday afternoon to wait for friends, ordered a house cab was not given a menu or price list and when done $18 for an average glass of house cab. The server seemed perturbed that when the rest of party arrived they did not want to stay and we left. When I questioned price was flippantly dismissed.
So warm & welcoming. The dark wood and moody lights give it a nice atmosphere. We’ve been meaning to stop in for years and we’re so glad we finally did. We will be back! Highly recommend

Walked into this cute wine/ whiskey bar. Just before the holidays you would think you'd want to have this place staffed with more than just one server. The ambiance is cute with a few different tables and a communal table for couples/ singles. Bottles of wine adorn the built in library walls and it does seem cozy. I love the original typewriter in the bar area.We sat at the shared table, pulling up QR codes for the menu. We had to flag the only one person serving the entire bar down so that we could order drinks and food. She took our drink order, and then probably about 30 minutes went by after we were eyeing her left and right, it was clear to us that she was too busy or not making eye contact because she couldn't keep up with what was happening. Or at least I thought. After watching her have a full-blown conversation with the other person working there up at the bar area, we finally were able to get some food in, as my bf flagged her down.Olives for $7. A couple had pits that they missed I guess. But only about 12 olives total. Absolutely ridiculous. The BBQ chicken flatbread? Perhaps not. The dough was like a matzoh cracker. The chicken tasted like bland boring boiled chicken. After having been there for about 45 minutes with no food and only a couple of very strong Manhattans that were not well made, was starting to get loopy so I wolfed down the flatbread even though it tasted like garbage. While I think this spot has a lot of potential, the service was so lackluster in the cutest of little towns, would not come back.
Lots of wine and mixed drinks, only iPa beer.
