Extremely disappointed and honestly ticked off after our visit. As someone who’s worked in restaurants for years, what I saw was straight-up unacceptable. We asked to be added to the waitlist. A group that arrived AFTER us asked for the same thing, and you sat them first while we stood there like idiots. Never once got a text, a call, or even a shout that our table was ready. We literally never got seated. When we spoke to the manager, she was smug, cheeky, and downright rude; no apology, no fix, just attitude. Terrible service, zero accountability. We won’t be back.

We happened upon Hemingway’s when we were actually looking to go to a different bar and it was truly such a happy accident. The drinks were thoughtful and creative and delicious, the food was excellent and the customer service left us in awe. The team there is incredible and you can tell they love what they do and where they work. Personal touches for my husband’s birthday (which we barely mentioned in passing) were so kind and appreciated. We will definitely be coming back!

Good high end cocktails, but served...in disposable plastic cups?!?. Old fashioned had ice machine ice meant for an RC cola. Plastic is fine for a frat kegger, but Not what's you'd expect for a $15 drink. So, good drinks, but definitely phoning it in on the details.

Had an 8p reservation for tonight for four. Good drinks and dessert, great server and a nice conversation with the owner about ice cubes! 😂 At 9:10p the hostess came over and asked to clear our table for the next reservation, essentially kicking us out. Not the best customer service for a new establishment, when there were other tables available.

Our mixologist Matthew Hooper was amazing and you could tell the entire staff had a great relationship, all working together. Talked with the owner for a few and she was great, very personable. Very cozy atmosphere, they made the most of the old antiquation space. We’ll definitely be back!!
I stopped by Hemingway’s on a whim and ended up falling in love with this place. The atmosphere is seriously cool moody lighting, funky decor and this cozy, speakeasy vibe that just feels elevated without trying too hard. It’s got that perfect balance of classy and relaxed where you can dress up a little or just go for a chill night out.The staff were also great friendly, attentive, and just seemed genuinely happy to be there, which makes all the difference. You can tell they really care about creating a good experience. Overall, Hemingway’s feels like one of those spots that could easily be in a bigger city but still fits perfectly in downtown Medina. It’s the kind of place you go for “just one drink” and end up staying for hours. Definitely one of my new favorite finds. 🍸✨

This place has so much potential. But there seems to be a few issues that come from a new restaurant. It definitely isn’t a speakeasy. It’s more of a hip hotel bar vibe. My reservation was on a Friday night at 730. We arrived a few mins early and our table was ready. The hosts were great. We were seated with menus. It was about 15 minutes before any server acknowledged us and asked for drinks orders. Since we sat so long we ordered everything at once. Drinks are very cool but on the pricey side. My friend asked for water and got it about an hour later. They seem to have their waiters also bartending?? Which doesn’t make sense which is probably why we waited forever. The appetizers were very good. My dinner was the basil pesto pasta and it was just ok. The noodles were clumped together.
