Good drinks and dessert, great server and a nice conversation with the owner about ice cubes! đ At 9:10p the hostess came over and asked to clear our table for the next reservation, essentially kicking us out. Not the best customer service for a new establishment, when there were other tables available.

Great cocktails, great food, great atmosphere! First time here and we sat at the bar. Our mixologist Matthew Hooper was amazing and you could tell the entire staff had a great relationship, all working together. Talked with the owner for a few and she was great, very personable. Very cozy atmosphere, they made the most of the old antiquation space. Weâll definitely be back!!

I stopped by Hemingwayâs on a whim and ended up falling in love with this place. The atmosphere is seriously cool moody lighting, funky decor and this cozy, speakeasy vibe that just feels elevated without trying too hard. Itâs got that perfect balance of classy and relaxed where you can dress up a little or just go for a chill night out.The staff were also great friendly, attentive, and just seemed genuinely happy to be there, which makes all the difference. You can tell they really care about creating a good experience. Overall, Hemingwayâs feels like one of those spots that could easily be in a bigger city but still fits perfectly in downtown Medina. Itâs the kind of place you go for âjust one drinkâ and end up staying for hours. Definitely one of my new favorite finds. đ¸â¨

This place has so much potential. But there seems to be a few issues that come from a new restaurant. It definitely isnât a speakeasy. Itâs more of a hip hotel bar vibe. My reservation was on a Friday night at 730. We arrived a few mins early and our table was ready. The hosts were great. We were seated with menus. It was about 15 minutes before any server acknowledged us and asked for drinks orders. Since we sat so long we ordered everything at once. Drinks are very cool but on the pricey side. My friend asked for water and got it about an hour later. They seem to have their waiters also bartending?? Which doesnât make sense which is probably why we waited forever. The appetizers were very good. My dinner was the basil pesto pasta and it was just ok. The noodles were clumped together.

Been there twice now. First time service was great. Thought drinks were a little expensive for what you got in some of them. Second time their service was awful. Waited 15+ minutes for someone to even acknowledge we were there. Server barely came and checked on us and we had to go to bar to pay our tab. Multiple employees kept walking by, looked at our table and didnât clear, ask if we needed anything else or wanted to order food. They eliminated a whole page of menu items and Illiniâs one entree available.

Second time service was awful. Waited 15 minutes after being seated for someone to acknowledge we were there. Multiple employees walked by, looked at us and never checked on us. They eliminated a whole page of menu items and went down to one seasonal entree. The rest of menu is appetizers, small salads, and 2 sandwich options so our group decided to not eat there. And we waited and waited to pay for our check (again our waitress and other employees kept walking by seeing we were finished with appetizer and had empty drinks & never checked on us). So we finally had to go up to the bar to pay our tab and left. Will be a long time before I go back there.

Oh my goshâŚthis place was amazing! The cozy decor and intimate, yet social and friendly, setting was perfect! It was an absolutely perfect place to celebrate my husbandâs birthday. The food was so delicious! The cocktails were amazing! The service was wonderful. Big shout out to Kayla our server and bartender! We had an amazing time. We will most definitely be back.
