It was a busy Friday night. Our server was very kind but pulled in many directions. Service was lacking. Started with cocktails which were so-so. Nothing I can’t make better at home. Calamari was excellent. I had the short rib ragu which lacked depth, seasoning, and flavor…the pasta was overcooked and watery. I was very disappointed. My husband’s pasta dish was a bit better but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

My wife and I have been dining at 111 Bistro since it opened. And, as always - Chef Anthony Scolaro and his team did not disappoint. The latest menu is as good as ever. We tried a variety of dishes - from the Spanish octopus appetizer to the Blonde Bolonese, everything was excellent. This is a place you should make time to go to - not just for special occasions but as your 'go to' restaurant too. The server was very nice and, as usual Anthony took the time to stop by our table to say hi - always nice to see from a busy chef. We are lucky to have this caliber of a restaurant in Medina.

Much bigger in the inside than it appears from the storefront! Ate here for a rehearsal dinner. Salad, tomato soup, and ahi tuna appetizers were all delicious. Artichoke pasta was creamy and perfect for a spring evening. The dessert was to die for! Seasonal/specialty cocktails were fresh and tasty. Our servers were friendly and attentive even though we had a large party. I plan on coming back again for dinner and drinks.

We were excited to try a new place as a family, but unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment. Most of the food was nearly inedible, and even the dishes that had potential were poorly prepared. We had to send back almost every item we ordered—except for my burger, which was actually fantastic.
What made things worse was the overall atmosphere: the chefs were eating and drinking in plain sight, the servers seemed indifferent, and when we voiced our concerns, we were offered a mere 20% discount as a consolation. It’s frustrating when a restaurant clearly misses the mark on both food quality and service. This place has potential, but right now, they just don’t get it.

One of the best parts about this place is the ever-changing menu—you can tell the team puts real passion into keeping things fresh and exciting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. Great food, great drinks, and even better people.
Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to. Thank you, 111 Bistro, for making the night so special!
