A small town bakery with delcious that is run by some hardworking women. I live nearby and treat myself and loved ones to an assorted box of sweet goods a few times a year. never disappoints, ever. Good selection for the size of the store. Anything cheesecake related is a safe selection đ€€

Ive been meaning to stop by, glad I did, but I did not enjoy it.
The pricing seemed to be an anomaly, everything was a range from maybe $3 to maybe $5... even when I pointed to 3 descrete items.
I normally love carrot cake... yrz, there's many varieties... this one was so wet I can describe it, boarding on pudding, and really heavy, with a huge (to each their own) 1/2in thick icing, sort of a cream cheese, but so sweet it was literally crunchy with sugar. Sadly, even with a stomach of steel, I stopped after 1.5 bites.
The Samoa bar cookie keeps this review from being 1 star, but sickeningly sweet also, and super heavy like a textbook (yeah, a bar is like 4-6 servings), but felt like an industrial dessert. I will take it home and chop it in pieces, not sure if I'll finish it.
Just not a very good product in my opinion. ....please see other reviews of mine, I rarely mark 2s; I do so carefully, and thoughtfully.

I had high hopes for my second order from AmyCakes, but I was unfortunately really let down. They had done a nice job with the cake and cookies that I had ordered last year for my daughterâs first birthday, so I was confident, as a return customer, that a much simpler cake for my sonâs 7th birthday would be no problem. Boy, was I mistaken! I had contacted them for a custom order. A galaxy style round cake to serve around 40 people for a Star Wars themed party. I have included a photo of what I sent as a reference photo vs what I received so that you can compare for yourself. In my emails, I specifically mentioned the colors, the splatter design for the stars and that âHappy Birthday, my sonâs name!â Be written on the cake board. I was told it would be no problem and was quoted 92 dollars. That may seem steep, but I gladly wouldâve paid that for what I requested. When I went to pick up the cake, I was honestly shocked! I have a professional patisserie background and have worked in bakeries before. To me this looked rushed, homemade and nothing like what I had requested. I honestly wouldâve been embarrassed to let a client walk out the door with it. Elements were missing such as the writing on the cake board and the star splatter pattern. It just looked like a sad, black cake with primary color red and blue smeared on. I am an understanding person and if what I had requested wasnât possible, I wouldâve appreciated communication on that. Unfortunately, I had zero time to figure out an alternative before the party. It was this cake or no cake at all, so I had no choice but to pay and leave. When I got home I sprayed the cake with edible silver spray paint and added edible silver glitter stars to fix it up. Along with the cute themed cake toppers I had, it looked a lot better after some doctoring, but Iâm disappointed I even had to do that. Especially because I paid almost one hundred dollars for it! Thankfully, the cake at least tasted great, I will give them that. The yellow cake, cookie dough filling and butter cream frosting were delicious. However, next time I will just make the cake myself. As a busy working mom it seemed worth it to outsource it to a place that I had success with once in the past, but I cannot risk gambling with the inconsistency next time. I donât usually take time to write reviews for things, but parties are stressful and expensive and I felt that sharing my experience was valid.

After a long search for a good cupcake place I decided on Amy cakes because of all the good reviews. The presentation of the cupcakes I think is very good but the taste however, does not match that. I tried two cupcakes and both were just mediocre. One had almost straight sugar for icing that was the cookie dough. The buckeye was just okay also. The cake part was a bit dry and too crumbly. I may return to try some of their other desserts

I have ordered a total of 3 times from Amy Cakes with my third order for a personalized birthday cake messed up/not fulfilled. Follow that by lack of customer service and accountability from anyone other than the young female that was working the store the evening I went to pick it up, who was apologetic for someone elseâs mistake; I am hesitant to order anything personalized in the future. According to Kennedy, the young female working the evening I went to pickup my cake (which, through phone and email communication had been confirmed) after searching for about 15 mins she called the decorators and then figured out that the order was filed on the incorrect date. She offered me to pick it up the following âmorningâ at 11:00am when they opened, which wouldnât work for me, as I needed it for a work event which I would leave for at 7:00am.
Instead, I was offered to pick out anything in the bakery adding up to the amount of what I had already paid. Kennedy also told me that the manager would call me in the morning. Taking the only option available, I got a variety of sweets from the bakery. The manager never called me to explain/apologize, which is a disappointment coming from a small business.
Good treats but a word or warning and beware: hours are terrible and you need to double and triple check to make sure they have your correct order date and donât expect any customer service.

Ordered a custom cake for a birthday and the requested design/flavor was completely ignored. I have tried to reach out for a resolution and there has been no reply. Do not order cakes from here unless you want something completely different than ordered and no customer service.

Fabulous bakery with so many options that it is hard to choose. They have all kinds of bars, cupcakes, cookies, etc. Everything is so delicious. You can't go wrong here. It's definitely worth checking out.

We had a cake made for our baby shower and everyone absolutely loved it. It was SO good! We will be having another one made for our sonâs birthday in a couple months!

Very disappointed with my experience at Amy Cakes. I pre-ordered a 14â custom cookie cake for a birthday and when I went to pick it up today and the presentation of the cookie cake did not look good. The writing looked like it was done by a child rather than a profession cake decorator. The writing was scrunched in one part of the cake, font size was not consistent, there were not spaces between the words, and the words were written at a slant. I asked for it to be fixed and the young lady at the front went to talk to a decorator. She returned and told me the decorator said the icing would have stained and it was best to just leave it as it is and they could give me a $10 refund. Considering I paid almost $60 for a chocolate chip cookie I would have preferred to have it fixed. The taste of the cookie was also not up to par. The cookie tasted like it was made up of almost all flour and was very spongey. I also purchased a cup cake and a cosmic brownie treat when I picked up my order. I looked at my bank account since I was not offered a receipt and I was charged TWENTY DOLLARS for cosmic brownie treat and ONE cupcake. The girl at the counter said she overcharged me. They would not refund the $10 for the cookie cake while I was at the store nor would they refund the $10 I was overcharged for the additional treats. They told me I would have to wait two days to get a refund and I would need to call if I didnât receive it when I should have received it at the store. Was also made to sign a paper which read I was satisfied with the order (when I was not) and the girl at the desk said it was just stating that I picked up the order. I was trying to support a local business by ordering from Amy Cakes but will not be ordering again after the poor customer service and subpar taste of treats.

I have been a frequent customer for years. I have purchased cakes and desserts for many occasions very special. I have supported on holidays, birthdays, Super Bowl parties and random Saturday raffles they have. I have promoted them on social media and tell all my friends to support their business. Unfortunately that will now not be the case now. I called and emailed about a birthday cakes I sent plenty of pictures of what I wanted. What I got was two different things. When I first looked at the cake I was taken back but thought maybe once out of the box it would be better. The cake out of the box was followed with a lot of laughter from others and tears from me. After emailing them my thoughts on the cake I heard nothing until 2 days after when I called. To be followed up with basically sorry not sorry our decoratorâs did what they thought was best described in the pictures and email. Which I know the work I got previously on other cakes was nothing compared to what this cake looked like. I feel as if I honestly could have done it myself and I didnât get what I wanted for the price I paid.
