Amy Cakes did a wonderful job with the birthday cake we ordered !! The whole process was simple and easy ! Cake was ready right on time and most of all was exactly what I asked for! I asked for 12 cupcakes in the form of a flower bouquet and asked for fall/autumn colors as the colors for the cupcakes and I provided pictures and I will post them here….. and the way they came out is not even close to what I asked for and the cupcakes were soooo dry. Terrible

I honestly wanted this place to be great. I bought an assortment of macaroons, a peanut butter cupcake, and a giant cookie sandwhich. All of it was WAY too sweet and lacked flavor which would have balanced it out. Plus, it was really expensive. In total, we spent $34 and ate about 25% of it. The atmosphere matched their food with a low effort scattering of bright colors and a sprinkle of generic decorations. Top it off with being cashed out by a young lady who made it obvious she'd rather be anywhere else than working here. Overall, this was a lackluster experience paired with below average taste. Do yourself a favor and skip this spot. I'll just stick with Elé Cake Co.

We used AmyCakes for our wedding Desserts! Our cake was beautiful and the design was exactly what we asked for. (Not to mention tasty). We did a few of the sample platters as our desserts, and they were a huge hit! I accidentally ordered way too many, or so I thought.. But they were all gone by the end of the night!

A small town bakery with delcious that is run by some hardworking women. I live nearby and treat myself and loved ones to an assorted box of sweet goods a few times a year. never disappoints, ever. Good selection for the size of the store. Anything cheesecake related is a safe selection 🤤

Ive been meaning to stop by, glad I did, but I did not enjoy it.
The pricing seemed to be an anomaly, everything was a range from maybe $3 to maybe $5... even when I pointed to 3 descrete items.
I normally love carrot cake... yrz, there's many varieties... this one was so wet I can describe it, boarding on pudding, and really heavy, with a huge (to each their own) 1/2in thick icing, sort of a cream cheese, but so sweet it was literally crunchy with sugar. Sadly, even with a stomach of steel, I stopped after 1.5 bites.
The Samoa bar cookie keeps this review from being 1 star, but sickeningly sweet also, and super heavy like a textbook (yeah, a bar is like 4-6 servings), but felt like an industrial dessert. I will take it home and chop it in pieces, not sure if I'll finish it.
Just not a very good product in my opinion. ....please see other reviews of mine, I rarely mark 2s; I do so carefully, and thoughtfully.
Truly one of the most delicious cakes I have ever eaten. I never make reviews and I felt compelled to let others know how amazing the quality of this cake is!! Will definitely be returning!

I had high hopes for my second order from AmyCakes, but I was unfortunately really let down. They had done a nice job with the cake and cookies that I had ordered last year for my daughter’s first birthday, so I was confident, as a return customer, that a much simpler cake for my son’s 7th birthday would be no problem. Boy, was I mistaken! I had contacted them for a custom order. A galaxy style round cake to serve around 40 people for a Star Wars themed party. I have included a photo of what I sent as a reference photo vs what I received so that you can compare for yourself. In my emails, I specifically mentioned the colors, the splatter design for the stars and that “Happy Birthday, my son’s name!” Be written on the cake board. I was told it would be no problem and was quoted 92 dollars. That may seem steep, but I gladly would’ve paid that for what I requested. When I went to pick up the cake, I was honestly shocked! I have a professional patisserie background and have worked in bakeries before. To me this looked rushed, homemade and nothing like what I had requested. I honestly would’ve been embarrassed to let a client walk out the door with it. Elements were missing such as the writing on the cake board and the star splatter pattern. It just looked like a sad, black cake with primary color red and blue smeared on. I am an understanding person and if what I had requested wasn’t possible, I would’ve appreciated communication on that. Unfortunately, I had zero time to figure out an alternative before the party. It was this cake or no cake at all, so I had no choice but to pay and leave. When I got home I sprayed the cake with edible silver spray paint and added edible silver glitter stars to fix it up. Along with the cute themed cake toppers I had, it looked a lot better after some doctoring, but I’m disappointed I even had to do that. Especially because I paid almost one hundred dollars for it! Thankfully, the cake at least tasted great, I will give them that. The yellow cake, cookie dough filling and butter cream frosting were delicious. However, next time I will just make the cake myself. As a busy working mom it seemed worth it to outsource it to a place that I had success with once in the past, but I cannot risk gambling with the inconsistency next time. I don’t usually take time to write reviews for things, but parties are stressful and expensive and I felt that sharing my experience was valid.

After a long search for a good cupcake place I decided on Amy cakes because of all the good reviews. The presentation of the cupcakes I think is very good but the taste however, does not match that. I tried two cupcakes and both were just mediocre. One had almost straight sugar for icing that was the cookie dough. The buckeye was just okay also. The cake part was a bit dry and too crumbly. I may return to try some of their other desserts

I have ordered a total of 3 times from Amy Cakes with my third order for a personalized birthday cake messed up/not fulfilled. Follow that by lack of customer service and accountability from anyone other than the young female that was working the store the evening I went to pick it up, who was apologetic for someone else’s mistake; I am hesitant to order anything personalized in the future. According to Kennedy, the young female working the evening I went to pickup my cake (which, through phone and email communication had been confirmed) after searching for about 15 mins she called the decorators and then figured out that the order was filed on the incorrect date. She offered me to pick it up the following “morning” at 11:00am when they opened, which wouldn’t work for me, as I needed it for a work event which I would leave for at 7:00am.
Instead, I was offered to pick out anything in the bakery adding up to the amount of what I had already paid. Kennedy also told me that the manager would call me in the morning. Taking the only option available, I got a variety of sweets from the bakery. The manager never called me to explain/apologize, which is a disappointment coming from a small business.
Good treats but a word or warning and beware: hours are terrible and you need to double and triple check to make sure they have your correct order date and don’t expect any customer service.
