Very disappointed with my experience at Amy Cakes. I pre-ordered a 14” custom cookie cake for a birthday and when I went to pick it up today and the presentation of the cookie cake did not look good. The writing looked like it was done by a child rather than a profession cake decorator. The writing was scrunched in one part of the cake, font size was not consistent, there were not spaces between the words, and the words were written at a slant. I asked for it to be fixed and the young lady at the front went to talk to a decorator. She returned and told me the decorator said the icing would have stained and it was best to just leave it as it is and they could give me a $10 refund. Considering I paid almost $60 for a chocolate chip cookie I would have preferred to have it fixed. The taste of the cookie was also not up to par. The cookie tasted like it was made up of almost all flour and was very spongey. I also purchased a cup cake and a cosmic brownie treat when I picked up my order. I looked at my bank account since I was not offered a receipt and I was charged TWENTY DOLLARS for cosmic brownie treat and ONE cupcake. The girl at the counter said she overcharged me. They would not refund the $10 for the cookie cake while I was at the store nor would they refund the $10 I was overcharged for the additional treats. They told me I would have to wait two days to get a refund and I would need to call if I didn’t receive it when I should have received it at the store. Was also made to sign a paper which read I was satisfied with the order (when I was not) and the girl at the desk said it was just stating that I picked up the order. I was trying to support a local business by ordering from Amy Cakes but will not be ordering again after the poor customer service and subpar taste of treats.

I have been a frequent customer for years. I have purchased cakes and desserts for many occasions very special. I have supported on holidays, birthdays, Super Bowl parties and random Saturday raffles they have. I have promoted them on social media and tell all my friends to support their business. Unfortunately that will now not be the case now. I called and emailed about a birthday cakes I sent plenty of pictures of what I wanted. What I got was two different things. When I first looked at the cake I was taken back but thought maybe once out of the box it would be better. The cake out of the box was followed with a lot of laughter from others and tears from me. After emailing them my thoughts on the cake I heard nothing until 2 days after when I called. To be followed up with basically sorry not sorry our decorator’s did what they thought was best described in the pictures and email. Which I know the work I got previously on other cakes was nothing compared to what this cake looked like. I feel as if I honestly could have done it myself and I didn’t get what I wanted for the price I paid.

I regrettably chose Amy’s Cakes for my sister’s Baby Shower. I had reached out months ago to inquire about her making a cake and provided details. The response never suggested that would be an issue. A follow up email outlying the details was sent and I was under the impression my request was a non issue. Fast forward to the day of pick up and immediately panic set in as this was the parties focal point. The product was not similar to the references provided. I left the shop,cried ,collected myself and called the shop. I was met on the other line with ‘I’m sorry there is nothing we can do you left the shop with the cake already,it requires fondant and there is not enough time to dry,the color was what you sent and how it showed up on our end meaning the baker. The best they could do was a $20 refund for a cake that cost $156 and looks nothing like what i asked for. I had to scrap the cake and then scramble to purchase Nothing Bundt Cakes. Myself as well as other family members who were part of planning this special day we’re all in agreement that the cake was not useable. If I’m being fair, I would say if you want a beautiful cookie that Amy’s cakes are wonderful for that.. if your looking for a cake look elsewhere.

Ordered farm animal cupcakes for my daughter’s second birthday. I was amazed with how well they turned out, and they were sooo good. I had guests say their kids don’t really like cake, but they demolished those cupcakes. I contacted them via email, communication was prompt, easy, professional, and convenient! I was able to pay for my order in full and pickup the day of the party. I loved the whole experience. The bakery itself is so cute, and super clean. Will be ordering again.

The desserts here go without saying, you can just tell by looking at them how delicious they are. What surprised me is the service, They went above and beyond to help their customers. I highly recommend Amy's cakes.
I didn't catch her name but the lady who helped us was very nice. The cakepops are amazing and so is the oreo cheesecake. Definitely recommending for any parties. (I would go back but I might buy one of everything cause of these pregnancy cravings ?)
