We went to Big A’s tonight and we were totally ignored. There was hardly anyone there and only one other couple at the bar. We sat there for 15-20 minutes and no one greeted us or asked us if we wanted anything. Two bartenders came behind the bar a total of six times while we sat there and they acted as if we weren’t there. After about 15 minutes of us sitting there another man came in and sat down at the bar. He was immediately greeted by both bartenders and had his drink order taken within a couple of minutes. Meanwhile we continued to sit there as if we were invisible. The service has never been great in the past but the good food kept us coming back but after tonight we’ll never return and I’ll never recommend it. We left after 20 minutes completely disgusted with the way we were treated. I have had bad service at places before but I’ve never been so disrespected. It seems like they’re hurting for business so you’d think they’d treat their customers better. Very disappointing experience.

The wings, the ribs, the catfish, the baked beans, the slaw, frogs legs were all absolutely amazing. If I could, I'd give Al a 6 out of 5. And it was awesome to talk to Al. Those baked beans. Oh lawd. ✌️

Great classic funk & Rhythm and Blues bands from back in the day, old school! This place has great Food! Southern BBQ! It's always packed ! Al's is a legendary part of Dayton.

I've lived in 3 states and this place has the BEST wings I can remember having. Crunch, sauce, large sized drums and flats, they are phenomenal. The BBQ and sides are made fresh like you'd have at a backyard cookout and cannot wait to return!
Went to a Blind Fury and Afro Man show there as a vendor, ordered a Philly cheese steak and fries... Absolutely the best fries ever.. hands down no lie.. They need more stars but all I can do is 5. Even brought it out to us because our podcast was live.
