The service was ridiculously slow. I could've understood it if the place was busy but there was only one other person there. It took an hour to get our order and the server didn't bring one of my sides. When I reminded her she replied that they were all out. I believe she should've informed me long before instead of waiting until she brought the food. I did like my ribs, they had a great flavor. But I doubt that I will be back.

Wish I had pictures... but it was too good and I didn't wanna wait lol. Went in today and spoke with the barback (STAR) who when asked what i should get told me the bourbon chicken and sides. I did as instructed and WOWWW 5*s this stuff is great. Sweet, smokey, chicken peices with perfectly cooked NOT MUSHY rice. Along with that I got 2 side. Pinto beans with turkey in them... (great flavor with very minor notes of hotsauce that gives the flavor but not the heat) And the yams (PERFECTLY sweet, like grandmother made for thanksgiving)

It was a nice atmosphere and the bar had a nice vibe, however, the bartenders were rude and they were hating on the pretty girls. They tried to over charge for drinks. And they over looked my party several times.but We tipped them well anyways !!!

This restaurant sounded like a place my husband and I wanted to try for some good BBQ and soul food, When we pulled into their parking lot there were no cars on a Friday at 4:30p. We thought they were closed. When we walked in there were 2 waitresses sitting at the bar. Neither one looked at us and continued talking. And no one at the door to greet you. Someone from the back calls out to sit anywhere we wanted. We placed our order and it took a long time considering we were the only ones there. The brisket was like shoe leather, smoked wings were smoked dry just short of jerky, and the ribs tasted boiled and then lathered in sauce. The Sides servings were so small. Red beans and rice had very little beans or rice mostly sauce that only tasted like Red Hot Sauce. The potato salad was terrible. Looked like they used those frozen cube potatoes from the grocery store and then drowned it with mayo. The macaroni and cheese was okay. The restaurant was dirty. We had our waitress clean our table before she brought out our food. The waitresses clothes were dirty. And THE last straw was when a waitress was flossing her teeth at the bar!! This the worst restaurant we have EVER been to!!!

We went to Big A’s tonight and we were totally ignored. There was hardly anyone there and only one other couple at the bar. We sat there for 15-20 minutes and no one greeted us or asked us if we wanted anything. Two bartenders came behind the bar a total of six times while we sat there and they acted as if we weren’t there. After about 15 minutes of us sitting there another man came in and sat down at the bar. He was immediately greeted by both bartenders and had his drink order taken within a couple of minutes. Meanwhile we continued to sit there as if we were invisible. The service has never been great in the past but the good food kept us coming back but after tonight we’ll never return and I’ll never recommend it. We left after 20 minutes completely disgusted with the way we were treated. I have had bad service at places before but I’ve never been so disrespected. It seems like they’re hurting for business so you’d think they’d treat their customers better. Very disappointing experience.
The wings, the ribs, the catfish, the baked beans, the slaw, frogs legs were all absolutely amazing. If I could, I'd give Al a 6 out of 5. And it was awesome to talk to Al. Those baked beans. Oh lawd. ✌️
