I recently visited for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and variety offered. I ordered the Chicken Fajita, served with a side of hash browns and thick-cut white toast — it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was well-seasoned, and the portion was generous.

I also sampled the golden waffle, the salted caramel and banana waffle, and the iced caramel coffee. For dessert, I tried the lemon blueberry cake. Everything was outstanding, but...

If you don't want to deal with the long waits and variable quality at Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans, drive a bit further and hit up Scramblers.

This place has great food, great service, and the kitchen is quick. The Classic is highly recommended, but there are plenty of other options like French toast and skillets.

Ditch the fading chains and enjoy a drive out to get breakfast from someplace excellent.
