We stopped in for dinner after visiting the Geauga County Fair. The place is well kept and spacious.
My wife and I both chose burgers. I chose the Black Jack Burger medium and it was cooked perfectly. Loaded with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese and special sauce. It was the same experience for my wife's Ultimate Black and Blue Burger.
We ordered the appetizer fries to share as a side dish. These were perfectly cooked with a crispy outer crunch and a fluffy center.
Looking forward to visiting again when we come back to Middlefield.

Middlefield Tavern it’s a bit ridiculous that you go to order lunch TOGO and are hit with an automatic 20% gratuity on a TOGO… $15. One of the girls had told me they don’t do that and then the other one (that checked me out) came back and said um yes we do there’s nothing I can do about it! That’s some great customer service Cristi C. I am a server myself and understand to gos can be frustrating and sometimes no tip, but when someone throws me $5 that makes my day, to expect 20% then ask for additional gratuity on top and not tell people you already charged it is insane! She got so nasty when i asked for an itemized receipt because i knew that was too high, because she didnt want me to see the gratuity! I will never be back I try to support local business’s but not this one anymore, poor customer service, food was skimpy and not worth the $$ and scamming your customers! By the way it is illegal to not disclose auto gratuity on a check :)
