My wife and I have eaten a few times at Chez Renee French Bistrot. The food has always been excellent, the drinks selection is good, and the service is spot on. We will definitely be back and would recommend others to go as well.
We love the food and service at this charming little place! It's so nice to sit down, not be rushed and enjoy a wonderful meal. We especially love the Orange Duck and the Brie Appetizer.

Chez Renée French Bistrot offers a fantastic Brie appetizer and a large charcuterie board that are very good. The chicken cordon bleu is the best ever had, and the Cassoulet and Scallop Risotto are uniformly great. Wednesday nights feature a great deal on wine bottles over $60. The ambiance is quiet and perfect for a nice dinner date, with a quaint, non-stuffy atmosphere. The wine flight with generous pours and garlicky escargot are highlights, along with flavorful orange duck. The duck leg special was okay, and the French onion soup in puree form was not bad. Desserts look outstanding, but the portions are large. The patio was closed but is expected to reopen soon. The service is very casual, with room for improvement in attentiveness and training, but the friendly staff makes the experience enjoyable. Overall, Chez Renée is a little gem and a nice addition to the eastern suburbs.
