I really love the food here, I've never been disappointed. Staff is always kind and attentive. I only have one minor squabble; as a restaurant in the Midwest that serves wings, they don't have ranch, at all! 🤣

We have been coming to The Governor for years and we love it! They keep changing the menu up, which makes us miss some of our familiar favorites (bring back the chicken liver and cracked potatoes!) but also let's us try new things. Fun twist on old classic dishes in a fun space with excellent service. We will keep coming back, this is our default date night spot 🙂

After reading so many rave reviews we couldn't wait to give this place a try. Servers were very nice and accommodating. The biggest disappointment was the food. Every single item was under-seasoned... Couldn't understand the reasoning behind that. It's like the chefs had literally forgotten to add salt in the fromlette and the deviled skins we had. We got our deviled eggs (appetizer) after we got our entrees.Even the whipped egg on the deviled skins had no salt. The fromlette was dry, the short ribs in it were stringy, and being under-seasoned it just tasted bad. This was the first time I've ever seen my wife not complete a meal. Severely underwhelming.

Today I walked up to the door only to be stopped by a bald headed troll who demanded what I was doing. As he stood right in the door way blocking me he asked why are you here. I said to grab a drink. I had my service dog with me and he wouldn’t allow me access till I gave it to my girlfriend. I am very disappointed is the governor and will never come back due to the way the treated me. I had not one walked up and down Lila ave and had not one issue with any place and my service dog. I was disgusted with the way they acted and treated me.

Got the General Tso chicken sando and the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Short Rib was my favorite but both were amazing and my mom and I split them. They have cappuccino and espresso as well. 💯 Lived up to the good reviews.

The Governor is excellent in just about every way.
I've been here several times and it's been consistently amazing.
Their cocktails are fantastic and the bloody Mary is probably the best I've ever had. They always have really cool specials so be sure to ask about that. The sandwiches are incredible you literally can't go wrong.
Service is always friendly and prompt. Bathroom is clean and nice. Vibes are good.
I can't say enough good things about this place!

We came in to dine for lunch and couldn’t be seated in a booth for lunch . They said they save those for 4 people ., and there were two of these booths open and one had two men seated there whom had just gotten up . Guess their business is so good that can refuse seating .
