A hidden gem with heart and history.
Broken Grounds Coffee Company isn’t just a coffee shop—it’s a community hub with soul. I walked in expecting just a caffeine fix, but left feeling genuinely refreshed, both by the drink and the vibe.

You can tell this place was built with intention. The staff greet you like friends, the décor is warm and welcoming, and the coffee? Smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. I had a vanilla oat milk latte that hit all the right notes—balanced, cozy, and just sweet enough.

Backstory bonus: I learned from one of the baristas that the shop was started by locals who wanted to create a space for people to reconnect—both with each other and with themselves. It shows. Whether you’re here to study, meet up, or just breathe, this place delivers.

Pro tip: Try their seasonal specials (the maple cardamom latte was a dream!) and grab a seat near the window for a peaceful moment with your cup.

We're riding the OTET and had breakfast here. Breakfast burrito and egg, sausage biscuit. Both very good.

I also noticed It has excellent wheelchair access with a ramp and a table for wheelchair.

Truly outstanding. The gentleman that hand makes their syrups went out of his way to blend a syrup for the exact flavor profile I wanted and it was sincerely the best Chai I've ever had. That level of service is rare and was appreciated, as was the friendliness of the entire staff. The breakfast burrito was one of the best I've ever had and my partner agreed: so much flavor and the perfect texture of crispy, grilled tortilla, soft egg, and plenty of meat and veggies. My partner enjoyed the strawberry and cream scone. The peanut butter power bar wasn't bad, but I am a peanut butter fanatic and it was almost too much for me: it was like eating spoonfuls of straight peanut butter and chocolate chips, so if that's not your jam, I'd skip that. They have a wide menu of breakfast, lunch, and pastries, so something for everyone.

Visited on a Friday morning with group of ladies. Nice decor, plenty of seating, and friendly staff. I had a mocha white chocolate raspberry frappe and banana muffin. They serve the muffins on warm plates!!

What a gem to find on a Sunday morning when most stuff in the area is closed. The service was so warm and welcoming. They had a community event going, which we were invited to take part in, or they had a section for those who didn't wish to take part available also. The cold brew is strong and delicious. The biscuit breakfast was good. One of the best biscuits I have had in a while. I could sat here for hours sipping on coffee. The shop itself is a mix of modern and rustic with tables, bar style seating, and some comfy chairs. If you in the area, I recommend stopping in!

The first time they opened, to be honest I was not impressed. My coffee wasn't tasty and it still looked like a Mexican restaurant. Fast forward and few years and wow! 👀
Atmosphere 100% improved!! and coffee was delicious 😋. Loved the jazz music 🎷. Nice touch!!
Way to go!! Keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍🏼😊

I've been visiting Broken Grounds when visiting my cousin who attends church here for years! I'm always impressed with their selection of flavors. They're always super nice! The owners are good friends of my cousin and her family.
The fact that they also hold a community church here is amazing and brilliant idea!
My only qualm is that I asked for my iced Marshmallow gingerbread latte extra sweet and when I got it, I couldn't taste any gingerbread. But the espresso was good!

Parking: There is parking in the back of the building, but it's on a hill and fairly steep.

Kid-friendliness: When going for church, there is a children's church for them to go to during the sermon.
