I used to really, really, really like the Hangry Hornet. But sometime around the end of 2024, something significantly changed over there. The last 3 pizzas we ordered were just sloppy messes. Most of the toppings would be pushed towards the center, leaving something like a 2 or even 3 inch crust ring. The result being 30% of the pizza has no toppings on it. And the rest would just fall apart when one tried to lift up a slice. The taste seemed different as well. Best we can figure is they hired some new kitchen staff / chef. The result: We just moved on. Why leave a review? Well…I am not someone who typically leaves reviews. I also am not someone who calls or complains when my food isn’t perfect. Every business has an off night and it’s still just pizza. But since Facebook randomly prompted me for this, it reminded me of what happened. How does a business I regarded as the best pizza in all of greater Cincinnati just completely fall off a cliff in a matter of months? Dunno. New owners? New cooks? New ingredients? New cooking techniques? New equipment? Expansion? Whatever it is, that change crashed this business.

Really good pizza, the prices are about average,and I'm pretty sure the phone number isn't accurate as I called it and a lady answered confused.

Being neighbors with this other small business is great. The team is very friendly, helpful, and did we mention the soft pretzels and pizza is fantastic.

I came in around noon and ordered two medium pepperonis and a large pep, bacon, sausage.
The staff was great and kind my only complaint is they don’t offer delivery during the week but that’s a very minor thing to complain about.
The large pep, bacon, sausage was fantastic. I’ve seen a few other reviews complain about the pizza being “burnt” they must’ve never had a good New York style pizza! This pizza is not burnt it’s cooked the way it should be. I loved it

I ate late lunch at the Hangry Hornet yesterday and it was good. Had the steak hoagie and ate there. The whole restaurant appeared to be clean. The cashier/cook/dishwasher/etc was friendly and service was super-fast. Only about 10 minutes from the time I walked in the door until my food was ready. The steak hoagie was an ordinary sandwich, like you'd get from Dominos or Donatos, but it really hit the spot.

As other reviewers have said, this is mostly a takeout place. It only has two tables. One table seats 4 people and the other table only seats two. I gave this place four stars for atmosphere, even though it only really deserves three, because the restroom was clean and well-stocked. Unlike the Speedway gas station I'd stopped at before lunch. (What the heck has happened to Speedway? They used to be good.)

Amazing Pizza. Picked up a pizza on our way home to Windsor Ontario, one of the better pizzas we had in a while. Plus very good and quick service. Easy to find right off the highway.
