This McDonald’s is a complete failure from top to bottom. Considering that I live 0.2 miles away for 8 years and giving this location more chances than it ever deserved, I can confidently say this place is beyond saving without serious corporate intervention.
The staff is chronically rude, openly dismissive, and hostile toward customers. There is no customer service here—only attitude. Employees regularly behave as if customers are an inconvenience and act like they’re doing you a favor just by acknowledging you. No greetings. No apologies. No accountability. Just indifference and arrogance.
Orders are wrong constantly. I always request NO PICKLES, and yet my food arrives with pickles the majority of the time. This isn’t a one-off error. This is repeated negligence that shows a complete lack of standards.
The drive-thru is absurdly slow, even when the line is empty. There is no excuse for the wait times at this location. Going inside is even worse. The lobby is almost always marked “closed,” and when it’s open, there is NEVER anyone at the front counter. Walk-in customers are flat-out ignored while employees hide in the back. Ordering inside takes longer than the drive-thru, which is unacceptable for a fast-food restaurant.
Now for the most serious issue: Happy Meal toys.
This location is clearly abusing the toy system. Employees routinely claim there are “no options,” then decide for you which toy you’ll get. Based on my personal experience and what I later found online, it appears toys are being intentionally withheld and resold.
I personally found a local seller on Facebook Marketplace and eBay reselling a large box (60+ repeated units) of the Disneyland 70th Happy Meal toy box#01 (most popular) priced a lot higher than retail. That level of quantity does not come from normal customer purchases.
One incident made everything painfully clear:
I went inside and asked if, when buying toys separately, there was a chance to receive different ones. An employee told me she couldn’t promise but would try to help. I purchased over 15 toys. When I got home, EVERY SINGLE TOY WAS IDENTICAL. I was blatantly misled. A week later, I saw a box full of those same toys listed locally online for resale.
This is not poor service.
This is systemic mismanagement, dishonesty, and abuse of inventory.
This location operates like no one is supervising it, no policies are enforced, and no one cares. Corporate standards clearly do not apply here. After 8 years of frustration, wasted money, and disrespect, I can say without hesitation:
Avoid this McDonald’s at all costs.
If this is your local store, I strongly suggest driving farther. Convenience is NOT worth dealing with incompetence, rudeness, and what appears to be deliberate misconduct.
McDonald’s corporate should be embarrassed that this location carries their name.

I come to this location very often for lunch and this location is usually pretty busy. I have never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes for my order ever. Staff is super nice and never have had a bad order here. Definitely top tier location in my book.

Probably the WORST customer service I've had in awhile I mean it's literally people on work release or something lol so take the extra few min to go to west Carrollton McDonald's because this one is a nightmare.

Visited Dorthy Ln location this morning first of all it took 30min for two iced coffees not to mention it wasn't made the correct way, I will NOT visit thos location ever again

I work right down the street. They get plenty of business from me. I went in today like normal went through the drive through. I order a #9 meal. 2 cheese burgers and a fry. I was asked to pull forward and my food would be out. I waited 15 minutes. I went inside to check on my order with receipt. Gave it to the manager working. He walked back and said where is the order. It’s sitting right on the counter. He hands it to me and even before I could say a work he rudely says “you’re welcome”. Yea I won’t ever spend another cent here.

Absolutely awful waited and waited to be helped the manager looks like she has no control over her team and nobody’s even at the front counter I asked this worker for help twice and got nowhere definitely would never recommend wasting your time going there.had to cancel my order because nobody would simply bring it to me.

They gave me a miscooked sandwich and the fast food worker was really rude, I asked for my McDonald's toy but they ignored me. Please keep the time and energy and spend it somewhere else. There's plenty of food chains around and I'm sure they're not as bad as this McDonald's. Listen to the ratings, I didn't.

I bought a Happy Meal, but was given an empty box with no toy inside. It seems like someone at this McDonald’s intentionally took the toy and gave me nothing. It’s the first day of the new toy release—this is really disappointing and unacceptable.

I pay for extra Carmel on my frappe and when I get it there is barely any on it. I ask to get get the extra I paid for n get attitudes
A quick, convenient, and friendly breakfast spot. I stop by often. Sometimes the drive thru can have a bit of a wait, but the staff tend to be fairly efficient
