Met with a group of 12, for a Christmas lunch.
Several people ordered the large salad with blue cheese, cranberries, and grilled chicken. It was delicious! Elizabeth was our server and she did a fantastic job too!

Was staying at the lodge and decided to eat at the restaurant. At 530 we put our name in for dinner. We were sat ar 730. 20 mins for a server to get drinks. Dinner showed up over an hour later. Never saw our server for refills. Food was terrible and soooo expensive. $17 for a small chopped up bowl of "pork belly". Ridiculous. I asked for the check and it took 15 minutes to get. We are the only ones in here! Would recommend NOT going here for dinner! We're sitting here at 920 thinking about putting our order in for breakfast.

Waited 20 minutes for an appetizer and a salad, only to be told that the entree I ordered was not available. The cook couldn't have told the waitress about the entree when she entered the ticket? They waited to tell her till after they had prepared my husband's meal. The waitress told us they were having trouble keeping staff. No wonder. They're setting them up to fail. I ate the appetizer and we left. We won't be back. If items aren't available, cross them off the menu. Pretty pathetic guys, do better.

Can I give ZERO stars? Service sucks! This could be such a great place for the lodge so it’s sad that it’s not . Hire a new restaurant manager and get rid of that horribly rude bartender. Any good restaurant worker could run laps around these people.

My wife and I ate breakfast with another couple this morning. The food and service were great, and the view was quite pleasant.

We got there at about 6:30, but didn’t get our food until 7:45 and there were probably only 4-5 other tables. Definitely not busy, but we received almost no service and waited forever. The only plus to sitting around was watching the sunset on the water. We also had a very strange fee on our bill called a “beauty fee” of $1.45. Our server could not explain that at all on our bill, and seemed really odd for a $40 bill overall. Next time, we’ll be sure to just pack a sandwich and eat by the water for a better experience.

We paid almost $40 for a NY strip that was overcooked and very fatty. It was edible but that's about it. Service was extremely slow. They weren't rude but they also weren't efficient...they said they might be out of what we ordered and went to check, and then said they had it after all. About 20 minutes later the waiter returned to say they didn't have it. All of this while they were not busy. Also, the air conditioning doesn't work. Just not worth the $ at all. 2 meals and 2 drinks came to $90 before tip. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

View was amazing. Atmosphere was amazing. And that was it. I don’t recommend. We waited 15 minutes to see the host before we were seated. Only 3 other tables of people there at that time. We ordered 2 salads, a kids pasta, and a kids Mac and cheese. It took an hour to get our food and when it did come it was all cold. Other people came after us, ate and left while we still waited. We also asked for a refill and it took 20 minutes for a refill of drinks.

If I could give this restaurant ZERO stars I would!! We didn't even get to try the food because the service was so completely rude and literally the worst I've ever experienced. So very disappointing when we truly have been loving every other aspect of this lodge. We were so excited to sit and relax at the restaurant that looked like it had beautiful seating with a lake views everywhere. However none of us 10+ customers that waited for over 30 min outside the restaurant by the hostess stand ever got to see the inside of the place. We first went and a hostess (?) came over and told all of us to come back in 15+ min because they were behind. One person said they just wanted to sit down and didn't mind waiting for service. There were a lot of empty tables and she said no. So we all went out on the deck to enjoy the pretty lake view. We went back after 20+ min. We stood by the hostess stand again along with the other couple. More people came, including an elderly couple who were all dressed up and the woman had a walker. There was about 10 or more of us that waited by the hostess stand and no one NO ONE ever came over to talk to us or explain the situation. I went into the pub next door to see about getting food there. When I asked to see their menu I explained why we were thinking of eating over there. So that waitress went in the kitchen and asked the hostess from the restaurant if she knew there was a line of people out front and she snipped back YES! yet she didn't do anything. Then the pub waitress came back out and yelled at me "you can't expect them to do everything!!!!". So we left and I informed the front desk person who was lovely and kind and understanding. We went and ate at Streetside 62 in Washington Courthouse and had an overall AWESOME experience!! The place was filled with other people from Deer Creek Lodge ?. Moral of the story...PLEASE DO NOT RELY ON THE RESTAURANT HERE FOR YOUR MEALS. PLEASE PLAN TO GO INTO WASHINGTON COURTHOUSE for much better options. Also, I repeat, THE REST OF DEER CREEK LODGE IS FRIENDLY, WONDERFUL, RELAXING and AMAZING!!!

Food was mediocre but not bad. Definitely not worth the price. We were seated at 620, didn't get our food until 740 and we were a party of 5 with only 5 or 6 others in the restaurant. Also zero AC in the middle of July. Staff was great though. Just a little overwhelmed.

AC is broke. Service was terrible. 25 minutes after ordering we were advised they were out of two of our meals. 80-85 degrees inside and waiter had to be asked for refills. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated at an almost empty restaurant, ok not really a big deal, we weren’t in a hurry. Our waitress came and took our drinks and order, she was really nice. We sat there for over an hour AFTER being seated just for them to come out and tell us they are out of what I ordered:( first of all that let me know they hadn’t even started our food yet, and second… your menu is the smallest I’ve seen with about 7 things to choose from, how are you out of anything? We left without even paying for our drinks because we expressed how we shouldn’t have to pay for our drinks. (2sodas, I had water) because now we have waited almost 2 hours total at one place and now have to go somewhere else. Again the waitress expressed her understanding (and was so sweet the entire time) and went to get her manager but after waiting for management for 10 minutes, we gave up and left. We’ll never go back BUT the view of the lake was really pretty.
Way too long wait for poor food. Should have got up and left. Nice service but it's in dire need of new management.
