Tried the stromboli since Dirkos is know for it. We got a small classic stromboli (6 pieces and sauce) and it was enough to share. The sauce is a tad spicy, but we liked it.

I used to eat at the old Cleveland Ave location years ago. It was still pretty good, but something seemed different about the dough on the deep dish and stromboli. Not sure if I got older dough, or they use/used frozen dough, but it wasn't the 5 star food I remember from the past. It was still good, but wasn't great. I'll give it another go next time I'm in Mt. Vernon

Although Dirkos is more on the expensive side it is always worth it. Load up all the pizzas with toppings. My family and I love the BLT Pizza most. The meat lovers is also great. All the sides are pretty good. I do prefer to order the wings well done, i feel they are not typically crispy enough. The subs are decent as well. I personally have never had the Stromboli but I've always heard great things about it.

I called today the guy way BEYOND rude. I have worked in a few restaurants over 10 years I know how it is. I tried to be understanding and polite. I could hear him sigh over the phone. I knew my order was annoying I have two picky kids but wow. I heard his sigh and annoyance over the phone not a good feeling as a customer. He at one point hung up on me and I could hear him blaming and being aggressive with the payment system. That being said the food quality was great the driver very friendly whoever answered the phone you lost a customer I know you don't care but it sucks I love y'all's food. I hope you get through whatever is bothering you man. Food was great due to social anxiety won't order again 0/10
