The Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie and the Oatmeal Bar with various types of fruit are AMAZING. Not only that, the owner and all of the employees couldn't be kinder. The environment is always clean and welcoming. I go there often to work on my computer or just take a minute to myself. I love Happy Bean! Such a Mount Vernon gem!

What a wonderful place! I could have spent all day in here! My seasonal blueberry pancake latte was beyond delicious, but I was so appreciative of ALL of the options, particularly the homemade flavorings and local maple syrup --- such a nice touch! The variety of the menu is amazing, and I cannot wait to go back and try more. They serve Fairlife milk, too, which I've never seen at a coffee shop before, but was so appreciative of. I had a blackberry oat bar that was homemade and absolutely delectable. Staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, cozy, and cheerful. They truly go above and beyond to make the experience special, from the smiling beans drawn on each cup to the array of gifts and treats available around the store. I had the most amazing afternoon at Happy Bean and cannot wait to return!

Happy Bean Coffee Shop is one of my favorite local spots for coffee in Mount Vernon! It’s always spotless, welcoming, and filled with such positive energy. The staff is friendly and the drinks are consistently delicious. I recently tried the Spiced Hot Apple Cider and it was amazing!
I love that they offer a variety of table sizes — whether you’re working solo on your laptop or meeting with a group, there’s a comfortable space for you. Plus, they have a fun selection of local products like maple syrup, books, and coffee mugs that make great gifts or little treats for yourself.
Highly recommend stopping in for great drinks, friendly faces, and an uplifting atmosphere!
