Be ready to be wowed. Laura's cakes are scrumptious, organic, scratch-baked, and beautifully designed. Our wedding cake from her was everything I could have asked for--a luxe cake that looked like a piece of art. I honestly cannot recommend Laura Marie Cakes enough. Just yesterday, my husband asked me if we really had to wait a whole year to have her cake again! She made our cake gluten-free to accommodate my allergies, and it was absolutely delicious. My mother-in-law, who eats gluten-full cake regularly, thoroughly approved of the taste and texture of our cake. Delicious start to finish, and gorgeous--we couldn't have asked of anything better from our baker. Laura Marie, you are spectacular!

Before finding Laura, my husband and I had tried a few well known local bakeries and were pretty disappointed with how flavorless and dry every cake we tried was. I found Laura through Instagram and was blown away by how beautiful her cakes were. I messaged her to set up a tasting and she was booked months out. I wanted to book her though as my wedding was coming up, some told me I was crazy to book her (and pay in full) before even trying her cake, but I had so much confidence in her. We ended up having our tasting a few months later (1 month before our wedding) and OH MY GOODNESS. Everything we trying was delicious, flavorful and moist. She has designed cakes for events we have done together including weddings, styled shoots, social and business events, bridal expos, as well as a birthday cake she made for my daughter. I actually found Laura on Instagram; I had a marble theme for my wedding and she was doing hand-painted Carrera veins on fondant. She was the only baker we met with because of her designs and vision. Her tasting was kind of limited, but the cakes were so delicious that we ended up with two of the four flavors that we tried. Her flavors are so fantastic because of the real ingredients that she uses. She was wonderful to work with and we can't wait until our 1-year anniversary to have our "top tier" cake!

My husband and I were extremely disappointed on our wedding day to find that the blush pink cake we ordered, (inspired by one of Laura Marie's other cakes) was gray instead of blush. Unfortunately gray was not one of our theme colors, so the mishap was a pretty big deal to us. Enclosed is the inspiration picture that we shared by email and in person during our tasting, and the second photo is what we received. We did order a round tiered cake, so the shape was correct. During our tasting, Laura explained how she attains the color and style of the requested cake (see attached) and being that she is a professional cake designer, we completely trusted her. After the wedding, we brought the mishap to her attention and she apologized and mentioned that the contract clearly stated that the cake would be gray with a tad of blush "tbd" (whatever that means! Do you see any blush?). Being that our colors were gold, ivory, burgundy and blush, there is no way that I would have confirmed a gray wedding cake! I was completely appalled that this even happened because our inspiration cake was one of her own blush cakes. After reading another review of Laura Marie Cakes, it appears that communication is an issue and customers don't always receive what they request. If you do decide to go with Laura Marie Cakes, I strongly encourage you to thoroughly read the contract and the notes she jots down to make sure that the color, design and shape is exactly to your liking because that is what you are paying for. Please note that Laura did not offer a discount or refund or any sort to compensate for the mishap. I truly hope this doesn't happen to another bride and groom on their wedding day.

It was the most delicious wedding cake I've ever tasted, moist, flavorful, and looked really cute! We picked pistachio cake with orange cream for the bottom tier and lemon zest with whipped cream and lemon/blueberry filling for the top tier, and everyone loved it so much! We wanted a very simple semi-naked design to go with our travel theme, and Laura gave us exactly what we wanted. I want her to make us a cake again for our anniversary!

Our theme for our wedding was 1920's Great Gatsby inspired and Laura nailed the cake. It was perfect with feathers and all! Our main cake was even gluten free and a delicious moist gluten free, not the dry grainy type! I had so many compliments on the taste of the cake I don't think we even had left overs! All of my gluten sensitive and celiac friends were so excited that they could actually enjoy wedding cake too, and a delicious one at that!
