We ordered a pizza with extra cheese on half and received a pizza with extra cheese on half and NO CHEESE on the other half. I can honestly say this has never happen anywhere but here.

I don't think the crusts are home made. I worked in a pizza shop that used pre-packaged crusts bought from a supplier. I don't care for them. The crust and toppings don't cook together the way they do on a home made crust. The sauce was glorified tomato sauce. Not spiced properly.

Poor service. Waited forever to order, our waitress left in the middle of our service and no one picked up our table for service, when we finally got our pizza it was not what we ordered, got wrong drinks and no refills. We were almost there for two hours with hardly any service and had to go up to the bar to get our check.

Just had the worst dinning experience, ever, at Mt. Vernon pizza cottage. First, the service was terrible and slow. Second, the quality of the mexican pizza was poor. The service and quality is better at the Newark location. Third, we were charged full drink price ($3.49) for refills. When I asked the waitress about it, she said you were charged for a refill. I stated we had never been charged for refills at Pizza Cottage. The waitress just brushed off my comment. I asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came over I showed him the bill with the double charge for drinks. He said the waitress accidently put in the double charge. I told him that we showed her the double charge for drinks and she said yes it is for the refill and walked away. We will never go to the Mt. Vernon pizza cottage again!
The food was amazing but the whole time I could hear the manager from the lobby screaming at a teenage girl in the kitchen. I heard someone calling him Shawn so I'm assuming that's his name. He was rude, deliberately loud, and sent the poor girl home. They seemed a little slow but she was kind and they looked understaffed. The weirdest part is is he seemed to only be yelling about his personal life. Something about being so stressed out because of his daughters? Talk about mixing person and work life. I wanted to tip the girl but the manager declined saying I couldn't tip hosts. He then asked if we were done with our food? It wasn't even 7 o clock. I'm simply disappointed.

The pizza here is always tasty. The party room was big and spacious for what we needed. The waitress who served us was on top of everything. Highly reccomend this place.
Wheelchair accessibility: The handicap spaces are on the side of the building with a clear path to the front door. The front door is a double door so it's wide enough for all mobility aides. Spacious bathroom and handicap stall as well. The dining room has a few tables closer together but we were able to maneuver through decently

Yesterday I came into the restaurant around 1pm. My son and I were looking forward to a nice meal. I have been a 20 year customer mostly at the Newark location. My son ordered a salad and sub and I ordered a medium pizza. My son was served his salad and after he ate it the waitress brought his sub and said my pizza would be right out. My son didn't want to eat his sub and wanted to wait until I got my pizza. Eventually he ate it and 10 minutes later I got my pizza. The waitress ask me while I was still eating if I wanted a box. I said, I wanted to eat. Actually, I wanted to eat with my son. The waitress didn't apologize at all. In the future, bring out the main course together.

Service was exemplary, Savanna! Awesome Italian Sub, Italian Salad was good with generous toppings. The pizza was good too, generous toppings and served hot. Clean nice decor and spotless restrooms. TV’s adorn all walls for sports fanatics.
