My husband was hired and then fired the next day with no explanation. They didn't even tell him to his face, they had to chicken out and do it on his voicemail! How pathetic. Obviously they must have been afraid to do it in person or even talk to him personally over the phone since they couldn't come up with any explanation for the termination. Then they told him they refuse to pay him for working his two days. After reading previous reviews, seems like this is common for them to do this. Our attorney told us that this is completely illegal and he can pursue if he wants to. Warning to anyone seeking employment, DON'T apply at Sarah Jane's Bread Company. They are out to get some free work out of you when they are busy and then fire you without explanation and refuse to pay you for your work.

So I went in there exactly a week ago for a job interview. I was offered a position and was supposed to start today. The day before I was supposed to start the woman called and said after she talked to her husband she decided to just give her current workers more hours. I can totally respect that. However, I have turned down at least ten jobs in the past week thinking that I had one. I think that is an awful way to treat someone. Could have told me that days ago so now, I have to go put in more apps. Never have had that happen to me in my life. Her not wanting my ID or social and wanting to pay me my first check “off the books”, should have been a red light to me.Now you may think I am saying this out of spite and I assure you that I am not. The table that I had my interview at was covered in crumbs, sticky, and dirty. In fact the whole place was dirty. Just a heads up for all you stores selling their products. Need to get Health Department in there especially after Covid!

Bought an apple pie from Heinens, made by sarahjane, the crust was raw dough...gross, i had to bake it for 30 minutes at 350......will be informing buyer at heinens how awful the product is.

I bought the whole wheat while visiting Cleveland, it was perfection. Dense and moist,,low in calories and sodium, now just trying to figure out how I can buy more when I leave town
Purchased a cherry pie at Kriegers today. The worst cherry pie I've ever had. The crust was as hard as a rock. Not good.

They have the best sugar cookies I have ever had. And they make different ones for all the seasons. You can usually go in and they will have them individually wrapped on the counter in a basket or you can order them to be made even if you only wanna order 3 or 4 they will make them. I wouldnt go anywhere else for sugar cookies.

Sarah janes is the very very best!!! The new bread with cranberries walnut sweet bread is absolutely over the top delicious.....slice and eat without anything else. So good.
