Our family, 9 of us, were pleased to visit Overlook December 20, 2023 for their specials of Filet or Shrimp. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday. We must applaud the chef for the best filets we've ever ever had, seriously. Others had the Shrimp, Chicken Wrap, Ribeye, Pork chop, and Pasta Alfredo. All loved their meals. The waiter, young man, was very attentive and willingly engaged. We will return to Overlook often. We don't understand why Overlook isn't crowded every night but it is a distance from town... but it's worth it to visit there.Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and the waiter quickly checked with the kitchen and reviewed available gf options.

Our group of friends went to Virtues for our group Christmas dinner last evening (Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023). We had high hopes based on what we heard about the place. What a disappointment! To begin with, the room was freezing (bar dining room). To be comfortable, you needed to wear your winter coat while eating dinner. Not good. We ordered our food and waited over an hour to get it, despite being the only table in the room. When we finally got our food, it was cold. I knew I was in trouble when I put butter on my baked potato and it didn't even melt. Our steaks were dry and grey from overcooking. Our waiter did a disappearing act and didn't return for refills or to check on us. Needless to say, we won't go back and would caution anyone else to think twice for paying premium prices for such poor service and substandard food. The kicker was absolutely no one seemed to care that we had such a miserable experience. No manager in sight. Never again.

Wow, what a hidden gem The Overlook restaurant is! We had great service and delicious food with a beautiful view of the golf course and sunset. Large portions for a reasonable price. Highly recommended pretzel bites and french dip! Beer was also ice cold!

The lack of cleanliness of the the entrance to the restaurant almost had us turn around. Glad we didn't the food was excellent and so was the service! It is a beautiful venue, it's a shame management is allowing it to become run down..

Our waitress Hazel was wonderful. She did all she could to serve our party of 9. It took an hour and a half to get dinner served to us. My fish was wonderful, my husband ordered smothered sirloin. It was way overcooked and dry. He didn't want to complain because it took so long to get our food. Ambiance is beautiful.Vegetarian options: Awful cooked carrots. No seasoning

Enjoyed birthday dinner with my large family on the patio. The food was delicious and the view was beautiful.
Such a BEAUTIFUL place to eat. Views are gorgeous. Sitting on the terrace is recommended. You can watch golfers come up the last hole, but they are still at a nice distance away. Very peaceful.Kid-friendliness: Kids can walk around and explore the terrace.Parking: If you don't get dropped off at the door, the parking lots are a good walk away from the clubhouse. But it's flat terrain and my 84 year old father got around fine.

Atmosphere and location is amazing. Food is good. Service is horrible! My husband and I were seated at 1 of the 3 occupied tables in the dining room. Many high school staff were walking throughout the restaurant with no customer interaction. Took 20 minutes for a cocktail from the bar and waitress response was " I don't know what's happening with your drink." Our drippy spinach artichoke dip arrived with no plates. Dinner arrived 40 minutes later, only after we inquired where our waitress and food was. No condiments until they were slammed onto our table after we asked for them. No interaction with our waitress or the other teen staff, except when we got up from the table to leave...3 of them abruptly showed up to clean of our table almost faster than we stood to leave! Patrons were entering and exiting the stairs at the bar area and staff abruptly ran into them or forced them to back up. Staff loudly complained about a family entering the restaurant at 8:00 and the manager yelled, "That' it. If anyone else comes in turn them away!" My husband and I are in the customer service industry and we were shocked by what we saw! So sad to see what this amazing place has become! Hire adults and people that care!

I had the three egg omelet with diced ham , bacon and cheese. It was served with sourdough bread and a side of home fries. I had vanilla bean ice cream with strawberry topping for dessert. The food was delicious. The staff was great and it was clean in the restaurant. I had a great view of the golf course as well.
