Jade East Chinese Restaurant

Almost every time I am home I have to grab something from here.

This is not Chinese food. I ordered General chicken and what I got was something sour? General chicken has a certain flavor profile, but these guys are just dumping some dishwater looking sauce on prebought chicken nuggets. On the plus side They are heavy on vegetables, but this is not Chinese food. They shouldn't even advertise that they sell general chicken. I cant speak to the rest of the menu. Again, I appreciate the vegetables, but since when did general chicken lack chilis and garlic in the sauce? Why is the sauce watery and grayish brown? The flavor is just bad. Unfortunate dinner choice, but based on the reviews the locals appear to like it.

Food was aweful and way overpriced I would not recommend this to anyone

What has happened to the food?? We have been ordering moo goo gai pan extra spicy for 30 years and house rice….. today the food was NOT good….i had to cook the moo goo gai pan because it wasn’t cooked and was cool when we got home.. we only live 10 mins away. The flavor was off……bad

Love the Chicken Fried Rice with Vegetables.

Ordered generals chicken and it was Walmart bought frozen reheated chicken cut up with zero sauce on it. One worker was sitting in lobby with dirty sandals and feet and….no socks. The lobby floor was covered in cardboard boxes…..dirty.

Honestly……I prefer the Chinese place in Wheelersburg and will never go back to this place. “Generals chicken and orange chicken was $25. Save your money and get quality food elsewhere.

I’ve been a long time patron of Jade East , and they have the very best and finest pork fried rice, and double cooked pork you will ever have! I’ve had Chinese food from here to Miami, and I can say theirs is some of the best!!

I live out of town and Jade East has the best egg rolls and egg drop soup I’ve ever had. I stop by every time I’m in the Portsmouth area! (take out only)
