Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken

I tried to get on the website for customer feedback. It says to allow time for the “form” to load. 10 plus minutes later still nothing loaded. It’s like they don’t want to hear the feedback. My pops was on the way home last night stopped to get me a pot pie cause I am feeling under the weather. When he went to order the pot pie the workers told him that they were “too busy” to make one. For someone who has worked in the food industry for a little under 10 years after hearing that I was flabbergasted. How can you have something on the menu then when someone orders said item you just say “we are too busy to make that.” Is that what they are told to do when they don’t feel like doing their job? Just say “I’m too busy” to do my actual job. I get places get busy. I truly do, especially had been working in food for so long myself, but to refuse to make an order for an item you offer on your menu is ridiculous.

I’ve been going to this location in New Carlisle for many years and I’ve told myself time and time again these past few times that maybe this time the food will be like it use to be, maybe each time I’ve gone they just finished a rush or maybe I was just unlucky. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that this store is just horribly managed and the “famous” recipe is a joke to them.

Let me present to you my buckeye box meal, which is suppose to be 4 piece breast strips and a side item. I am unable to eat the chicken because it was stiff as a board and when I tore it apart to look for even a little bit of chicken under the breading, I was greeted by nothing but gristle and tendon.

Bottom line is I’ve left feedback with the stores website to inform them of this terrible food and now on here to warn all of you against trying this food. Instead I would recommend if you want some famous recipe chicken to go have some KFC, the real chicken king.

Came in to get dinner for the family around 8:25pm. Got 43$ worth of food, was told after I ordered that it was a ten minute wait for strips. So after 29 minutes I got my money back and they sold my sides that had been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes (not even under a warmer) to another customer right in front of them. The sides were cold.
Staff was friendly but also openly was talking about giving us the 'last' of this and that and that it should be fine. Will most likely not be returning.

Ordered a spicy chicken and received an original. Still not terrible however as someone who eats a spicy chicken from Lee's a few times a month.... I noticed.

Service was fine, atmosphere fine, none of that had changed, but the chicken I brought home was not 'Lee's' chicken. It was bland flavorless with flaky tough breading. It was so bad I spit out the food and went back to get a replacement. I thought it had been a mistake in the kitchen, someone forgot the spice pack, but the new chicken was the exact same. So bad I just threw it out and I didn't bother getting my money back because they were nice enough to replace the food.
