American Grease is all I have to say.??????❣❣❣❣
I was in town working (I consistently travel for work), my birthday was actually being celebrated by my coworkers. I was taken to this bar and had what I thought to be a great time, so I thought. The bartenders were absolutely fantastic and welcoming. The band that played that night was amazing! After my coworkers started to feel uncomfortable with side talk and stares (unbeknownst to me) we finally decided to leave. As we’re leaving and going to pay (my coworkers spent a lot for my celebration at this “establishment”) I was stopped by a lady proclaiming to be the owner ‘Traci Smith’ she made it very clear to me with a smile on her face that “my kind wasn’t welcome here”, I spoke my peace, we paid & left. After further investigation Traci Smith so happens to actually be the owner. Many things I wish to have done or said, but the best thing to do is inform folks to be mindful of where they’re welcomed and where they spend their money. As for our group of (white, gay, African American & Hispanic) we wouldn’t recommend spending a dollar here. I wish for this to be of no representation of the bar staff, as they were very open and welcoming to us, as for the owner I hope you have some change of heart on how you look onto others, as I’m sure you have LGBT or mixed races in your family.Very disappointed in poor representation and customer service of such a sweet welcoming town of New Philadelphia. Do better guys!
Heard it was a great place to go locally, but apparently that only means if you are local. A group of co-workers who were in town setting up our store went in to celebrate one of their birthdays. It was quite obvious they we're not welcome by lack of service and glances and chatter. There was a variety of people in the group, some Hispanic some African American and some Gay. As they were leaving due to terrible experience a woman claiming to be owner told them " your kind are not welcome here". Pretty sad to see racism and homophobia alive and well in New Philadelphia ?
