We stopped in for a quick dinner on Sunday. Husband ordered a rack of ribs and I ordered the shrimp. Both meals came with fries, two pieces of pre buttered bread and two pieces of celery. The shrimp was okay, I didn't use cocktail sauce as it was kind of clumped into the container. The ribs, though. They came out in a pile underneath whatever gelatinous sauce they call bbq sauce. My husband has an iron stomach… in 25 years I have never seen him refuse to eat a meal he has paid for (60$ mind you). Needless to say, we won’t be back. And highly recommend anyone looking to eat at this cafe to just…not.

Yum! Yum! Get ya some! These ribs are amazing! The place is simple. The menu is simple. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. Don't get the water if you don't like country water. I would highly recommend a visit.

Wish I would have read the more recent reviews before driving there. Couldn't rate the food since we stood there waiting to be seated for a while and then we just decided to leave and they were out of chicken and almost out of ribs an hour and half after opening. Maybe there will not be a first time.

Used to be wonderful. We used to make the trek from Toledo to eat there. But, it has gone downhill in the last few years. Definitely needs work ... What a shame.

A great little place... But the ribs are not like any you've had before. I'd ask around to make sure if you're likely to like them...

Have gone to this restaurant for 55 years. Came back last year after a few years, and I am guessing new owners. The mouth watering ribs that drew scores to this place is GONE. So sad.
You can't go wrong with the ribs! Our server, though busy, was very attentive!!!!

I've had family say this place had great ribs. Going near i ordered a 1/2 rack dinner for 19.25. The fries were ....OK. I opened the ribs and didn't see sauce but a weird dri-rum that had a runny tomato based sauce on it. They obviously use celery salt ....AND ALOT OF IT!
Not good!!!

I've been coming here for 43 years. It's not fine dining, it's just fantastic BBQ with a signature family recipe that's been passed down. If you prefer sweet BBQ, this is not that. The sauce is a garlic tangy blend that is unique and delicious. The ribs are large, you get your money's worth. The chicken is great too. I've never tried any other dinners because those are too good!
Im not always impressed with other people's barbecue sauce. The ribs were fall off the bone, but not my favorite sauce flavors. I'd like to try something else here, but I probably won't get the ribs again.
Awesome food and service!
Stopped in to see what the hype was all about and left more confused than impressed. Walking in, it felt like we had accidentally crashed bingo night. There were no signs telling us whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated, so we awkwardly sat at the bar, only to find out the bar is for carry-out only. A little clarity would go a long way.
We ordered the famous ribs to go, because that’s what all the buzz was about. While waiting, I grabbed a glass of water which tasted like it came straight from the garden hose of my childhood. Nostalgic? Maybe. Tasty? Definitely not.
As for the ribs, they were okay… not terrible, but not worth the drive either. The sauce didn’t do them any favors it was more of a disappointment than a complement. The fries were stale, and the bread? Let’s just say the birds in the parking lot would probably appreciate it more than we did.
All in all, we gave it a fair shot, but left wondering if we missed something or if the hype is just stuck in the past.
