I always heard about how great the ribs were, so we finally drove over and tried them.How do ai say this without being rude?I didn’t care for the barbecue in New Reigel. It tasted strange, salty, and looked like sloppy Joe on top? This can’t be the ribs everyone raves about…?One of the worst barbecue experiences we’ve had.

Used to be the bomb. Started going there as a teenager. Yesterday, I called in an order at 5:30, was told to "come in, give your name and we'll drop the fries" when I arrived. Long story short, I waited for 45 minutes before a waitress came out of the kitchen to say "no chicken for (my name)". So I waited another 15 minutes. New owners, ribs were dry, prices raised..... nah.

Coming from a bbq fanatic, and a Texan..the ribs are a hard pass in my opinion. More of a dry pulled pork barely hanging onto a bone. Meat is dry but soaked in a vinegar like marinade to hide the dry-ness I suppose? Just a mushy mess..I’m sure they have other good items on their menu such as the fried shrimp which I can compliment. But the ribs are far off from ribs..Being inside was pleasant and the staff were nice. I would go back to try other items as I’m not a hit or miss person.

Been going here since I was a kid. Tonight was the worst stuff I ever had here. Asked for extra sauce and not even sure they put any on them. Very disappointed!

I thought I'd had done a review of New Riegal Cafe before since I've eaten here many, many times. Unfortunately since I thought that I didn't take any photos. Under new ownership since last time I've been in. Always went with the ribs, but like anything today, things are getting pricey. Almost $16 for an order now. Ribs are good, and you either like the sauce or hate the sauce. Fries have been mediocre at best for years. Be advised if you get a to go order, they charge you more for wrapping it. Get a craving for the place a couple times a year. If you haven't tried it, try it and you'll know what people are talking about.
I enjoyed my meal, and the server was great. First time I've been here since the restaurant was sold. I had the beef and it was chewier than before and the sauce was not quite the same. But yes I will go back!

We came in with a party of 11 after thanksgiving in November 2023. Ordered ribs, chicken and shrimp. All of the meats and seafood was okay but 5 of us ordered your coleslaw. It was the worst slaw we’ve ever had. Coleslaw has carrots in it. It had way to much vinegar and mayonnaise!!! So $15. Wasted! We did let the waitress know of our complaint but wasn’t offered to change to a salad. We had some of our friends from out of town.
