This was my third visit while staying overnight in Newark. Got my usual, the hungry sandwich packed with pastrami and corned beef, and fries. The seasoned fries were just the way I like them, thin and crispy. The sandwich was a disappointment. The meat was too salty. Ate only half the sandwich. The first two times the sandwich was great. The cook was preparing a large order, so I was told there’d be a 15-20 wait though I was the only person there, so presumably it was takeout. Had a similar wait the last two times I was there. Usually the meats are worth the wait. This time, no. The location is great , downtown across from the courthouse. I stay at the nearby Doubletree, and the area is very walkable and charming.

A new local favorite! Sandwiches were very tasty, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great! The inside is clean with plenty of seating. The menu had plenty to choose from with a “build-your-own” sandwich section. The staff were very friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

Having a ME day and decided to try something new! I’m SO glad I did too because the hand cut fries and chicken tenders were absolutely delicious! The inside is cute, clean, and calm, with good vibes all around. Top tier customer service, she was so sweet and kind, made me feel great and even put a little happy face on my to go box! Everything was made fresh and I got to draw on the walls while I waited. 10/10 experience for me!

Misleading menus and overpriced food. $16 for a sandwich that doesn’t even come with fries is bad enough, despite all the pictures of the menu online depicting it being significantly less. But inflation, I get it, old pictures and what not.
What is not excusable are the minor money grubbing charges on already overpriced food. Fries were $.10 more than the menu price, small but slightly irritating, lack of Oxford comma on peppers seems deliberate to double charge, but the worst and most egregious was charging bread as a topping for a sandwich. Yes, this shop counts bread as a topping for a build-your own sandwich. Not an up charge for better bread, a “topping.”

Stopped in on Saturday evening at around 6 PM. There was one additional table in the restaurant when we showed up and the occasional person stopping in to grab take-out. This was the first time we had been there and definitely love the atmosphere and appreciate how friendly the person taking our order was. The food itself was definitely good albeit a little on the pricier side for what it was (still very reasonable though). The only real complaint that I have is regarding the wait time. Coming from a background of a small family owned restaurant I understand not having the bandwidth to be able to turn food around on a dime, but there is definitely room for improvement in that regard. As a whole, I'd recommend giving this place a shot.

My fiancè and i stopped here on a whim after visiting Heath. We were pleasantly surprised! He had the Hungry burger, fries and fried mushrooms, and I got the mild boneless wings, and mozzarella sticks. Food was soooo good! Place was super clean and updated. Very welcoming staff
