What can I say,, This place will set you free! The New Owners have made this place a great thriving kick ass Dive Buckeye Bar!..Just a great feel good Vibe. Great prices and great bar food. The Cheeseburger is to die for , authentic single patty burger you only get with a grill that's been seasoned through the years with love ...Great TV's , announcers you can hear , Keno, Cold beer , and great People . The bartenders are awesome. Vikki has been on the watch for 50 years and does a great job. Taylor and the sass, lol. Special shoutout to Heather who got down in the trenches for an 12 hour College football Saturday and brought her A game . I haven't seen a hand that heavy since Mike Tyson in the 90's. Every Thursday is home cook meal night and it's special ! Specials all week. It's like family there and you're treated like it. Go in and say hi to Brenda, Steve, Tommy and Dina who have turned this place around ! My only suggestion, let's bring the squeeze bottles of mayo , ketchup , mustard and some spray bottles of Vinegar, the little cups aren't worthy....Do yourself a favor and visit the Colonial Tavern in Newark, Ohio, it'll set you free..

Colonial Tavern is under new management. There are some new items on the menu, some homemade soups, and specials. The pizza that I had was really good! Keno will be coming soon, as well as, square to be able to check out with your credit/debit card, I am told. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. There were a lot of new tv's too.

Took forever to get our lunch and then we were served rotten fried mushrooms and fermented ketchup. It was very sad to see a place I've been going to for 20 years go downhill that bad. Service was ok drinks were great but food was absolutely no good.😓😔🤢
