Food is always delicious. I love the ladies that run the place. I grew up in the area. I have never been disappointed in what I ordered.

We purchased food for pick up on 8/22/25 around 6:30, it was almost 66$. The 4 piece Chicken was burnt and dry, my 82 year old mom order Chicken Tenders, they were so burnt, (crispy) and dry that she couldn't eat them. All of the orders of Cottage fries, were dry with barely any toppings on them. As far as the Country fried steak, it was good, nice and tender, but I credit the gravy for that. The fried food was good as always, referring to the the Onion Rings, Mushrooms and Pickles. With the exception of the cheese sticks, they were burnt and dried out. We were very disappointed with our food. When you spend 66$ on a dinner that you don't get to enjoy is kind of heartbreaking. We eat there often and never had food that we didn't enjoy. I just wanted to bring this to someone's attention. I am very disappointed, not sure I'll be back.

What has happened to the cottage restaurant? Food marginal at best. Mashed potatoes were instant Gravy from a jar. Hardly any home cooked meals on menu. So disappointed. Will not be going back
The night we were there they got really busy and needed another waitress. It was very hard for her to keep up. One table left because they didn't get waited on in a timely manner.

First and foremost the food was abysmal. At best it was premade crap from GFS warmed up. The buffet was $22/person, it was not worth $5. I would not feed my dog this food it was that bad. The staff was friendly, I’ll give them that but the service was not great. We were sat immediately and were brought drinks but then sat there for 20min. I am not sure how they stay in business or get anything higher than a 1 star review. If I could give them 0 starts I would. 0/10 would not ever recommend eating here. I would rather go hungry than eat here.

Was hoping to get the Mom and Pop Treatment but it didn’t quite turn out that way. Lady that sit us down was a little irritated when I asked for a menu. The atmosphere was fine and they took our order relatively quick but then the wait was on!! 44 minutes later With condensation all over the table from our watered down Soda we got our food. The food was Satisfactory… but prices were a little high for a place like this. Not the best experience as the waitress did not come off very charming whatsoever.
